3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was back on the court Saturday against Minnesota and had a monster game with 42 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks. He played 45 minutes in a 121-120 double-overtime loss, shooting 12-for-23 from the field and 16-for-21 at the line. Embiid had missed nine games because of COVID-19 protocols. Minnesota doesn't do a very good job defensively against centers, so this was always going to be a productive night for Embiid, who was 2-for-4 with the three-ball. He'll be in a similar matchup against Orlando on Monday. On Wednesday, Embiid will have one of the worst matchups possible against the Celtics, who have the best defensive record in the league against opposing centers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
