3 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves power forward Jaden McDaniels (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers due to a non-COVID-19 illness. The absence for McDaniels marks his first of the season, thereby opening minutes in the frontcourt for Naz Reid and/or Taurean Prince. McDaniels' minutes allotment has jumped over his past nine games, climbing to 26.5 on a nightly basis, which has coincided with a 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest average. The 21-year-old remains a defensive weapon for Minnesota, although his offensive contributions have him as a fringe season-long option at best. His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday vs. Washington.--Jesse Borek
