Dewayne Dedmon Draws Start Wednesday
3 years agoMiami Heat center Dewayne Dedmon has been elevated into the starting five for Wednesday's contest against Cleveland, taking the place of Bam Adebayo (thumb). In the small sample size of 2021-22, Dedmon has delivered more impressive production as a starter, averaging 6.3 points and 8.0 rebounds, as opposed to 5.1 points and 4.4 boards off the bench. Dedmon appears to have the inside track on the vast majority of minutes at the five with Adebayo down for the next 4-6 weeks, although Omer Yurtseven and P.J. Tucker could be utilized extensively as well. Dedmon is worth a short-term stream in most season-long formats due to Miami's reliance on its strong defensive play.
