Cameron Smith Looks To Stay Hot In 2022
3 years agoCameron Smith comes off a fall swing in which he finished no worse than T15 in three events. He will start to build off a very successful 2021 at a place that hasn't been the best to him in his career this week. In two starts at Kapalua, Smith has finished 24th and 17th, which doesn't sound that bad, but in a 40-man field, it does leave something to be desired. However, Smith's game should fit at this course. He currently sits seventh in strokes gained on approach, and 11th in strokes gained putting this season. The issue will be the fairways. Smith hit just over 50% of fairways in the fall, which won't cut it at Kapalua. If Smith can find his way in the fairway more than he did in the fall, he has a real chance for a nice finish this week.
