3 years agoPhil Mickelson returns to action this week at The American Express. The 51-year-old golfer is coming off a 30th-place finish at Kapalua. Mickelson struggled on his approach in Maui, losing 2.9 strokes two weeks ago. Mickelson had a career-defining moment last spring when he won The PGA Championship at the Ocean course. Mickelson became the oldest golfer to ever win a major. At La Quinta, Mickelson has been a mixed bag. In his last four starts, he has three missed cuts and a second-place finish.
