3 years agoAdam Long won the American Express, formally known as the Desert Classic, in 2019. He came into that week off three straight missed cuts. After his win in 2019, Long went on to miss five more cuts in a row. Long's win was an outlier, but he played very well that week. He had 16.2 strokes gained total that week. He rode a hot putter to shoot a seven-under 65 to beat Adam Hadwin by one shot. Long is coming into this event in better form. While he missed the cut last week, he had two straight top-20 finishes. The 34-year-old American is a volatile golfer. While he has won this event before, it may not be a wise play to roster him in cash games or GPPs.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller
