3 years agoRussel Knox had a great start to his 2022 year by finishing in seventh place at The Sony Open. Knox gained 5.1 strokes on approach last week. More impressively, he also gained 7.1 strokes from tee-to-green. The 36-year-old is beginning his 10th year on tour. Knox has only won twice on tour but has good course history at La Quinta. In his last four starts, Knox has four made cuts and two top-20 finishes. While Knox does not have a lot of length off the tee, he makes up for it with his stellar iron play. At a course where ball-striking is vital, it makes sense why Knox has had some success. Unfortunately, Knox's play last week has not gone unnoticed.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller
