Thaddeus Young Will Miss Thursday’s Game
3 years agoToronto Raptors power forward/center Thaddeus Young (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's contest vs. the Pistons. Young has proven to be a solid bench contributor since arriving in Toronto, averaging 8.5 points and 3.7 boards per game, all while shooting 51.2 percent overall. His absence -- in addition to those of Fred VanVleet (knee) and OG Anunoby (finger) -- likely funnels a larger role toward the frontcourt group of Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher, and Precious Achiuwa. Young's 6.5 PPG and 15.1 minutes per game averages on the season are on pace for the lowest of his career, likely making him a waiver wire commodity down the stretch of 2021-22.
