Trae Young Battles Ankle Sprain To Drop 39 Points In Win
3 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (ankle) was a game-time decision to take the floor for Thursday's victory over Chicago as he battled a sprained ankle, but that rarely showed during his 39-point, 13-assist effort. Young had his entire offensive arsenal working, knocking down a pair of step-back threes in crunch time to ice the win, ultimately shooting 7-for-9 from behind the arc. In addition to having ripped off a double-double in eight of his last 11 games, Young has combined to score 111 points over his last three appearances. On pace for new career-highs in overall shooting percentage (46%) and three-point percentage (38.4%), Young has continued to prove himself at the top of the fantasy heap in 2021-22. Fantasy managers will want to check back Friday to confirm his status for the second leg of a back-to-back vs. the Wizards.
