3 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant continued his late-season push for the MVP award Thursday, going for 38 points, seven assists and four rebounds in a loss to the Celtics. Morant has combined for a gargantuan 136 points over his last three contests, which have seen him attempt at least 28 shots in each outing. It hasn't just been the scoring for Morant, who is averaging 33.8 points per game over his last 18 games, it's the efficiency. He has shot 51 percent from the floor since Jan. 17. Next up on his schedule is a matchup with the Magic on Saturday, a team that he scorched for 33 points in just 29 minutes on Feb. 5.--Jesse Borek
