3 years agoHouston Rockets point/shooting guard Dennis Schroder (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's contest vs. the Nuggets as he continues to battle a sprained right ankle. Both Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. played increased minutes without Schroder available Wednesday, although Josh Christopher stands to see extra playing time off the bench as well. Schroder has averaged 10.5 points and 7.5 assists per contest since joining the Rockets, but he has shot just 33.3 percent from the floor. It's unclear how the veteran fits in with Houston's rebuilding roster over the final month-plus of 2021-22, but his next chance to take the floor comes Sunday against Memphis.--Jesse Borek
