ANALYSIS: As is the case with most <10% pickups, A.J. Derby doesn’t have much of ceiling in this Denver offense, but it’s pretty clear that he has surpassed Virgil Green as the #1 tight end in the Mile High City. He caught four balls for 43 yards, including a crucial third-down conversion, but there isn’t much left to go around after Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders have gotten theirs. That said, the guy is 6’5”. That can help towards the red zone.
