Just have to throw this out, as Gates is back. He is not coming off of injury, and he has an established chemistry with Philip Rivers.
The Chargers are banged up with Stevie Johnson and Malcom Floyd getting hurt last week, and Gates is the favorite for red zone looks when he's on the field. We all already know what Gates is capable of when he's on the field, regardless of his age.
With tight end thinner than ever, Gates makes for a great Week 5 lineup play. Reports are anticipating that Gates will not be "eased back" into action, so don't be afraid to immediately plug him into your lineups this week.
