Hello there eSports DFS enthusiasts, and welcome back to RotoBaller's coverage of Call of Duty DFS contests for DraftKings! Last weekend started great and began to dwindle as it went on. But it is time to recover and crush the upcoming weekend. It is the final weekend before we head on into Major 2. So teams are going to be pushing to get every win possible so they don't start in the losers bracket.
This is easily one of my favorite sports to cover here at Rotoballer because I play a ton of COD myself and I like to think I'm pretty good at it as well. I have been following the COD League for about five years now and I finally get to put all this knowledge to the test! A great slate for us to start the weekend! We have Toronto Ultra taking on Paris Legion, LA Guerrillas taking on LA Thieves in the battle of LA, and finally, we have a banger matchup between Florida Mutineers and Atlanta FaZe.
Today I'll be bringing you my COD DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, March 25th, 2022, at 3:00 PM EST. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @DFSKoby or find me in the slack as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

Call of Duty: Major 2 Qualifiers
Best of 5

- LA Thieves (-220) vs. LA Guerrillas (+165)
- Atlanta FaZe (-350) vs. Florida Mutineers (+250)
Slate Overview
Toronto is coming off two rough game5 5 losses but now get the perfect chance to rebound and get a much-needed win against a Paris squad that has one win on the entire year but has shown some potential against London, NYSL, and Minnesota. At max though I think they take one map and it probably ends up being in the first hardpoint. If they don't get the win there, It should be a 3-0 for Toronto who is much better in SnD and Control.
LA Thieves have had some bad breaks recently against some good teams in Optic and Minnesota they had it in their grasps twice and got reverse swept. I don't think that happens here though against LAG. LAT is the better Hardpoint team and I would also say the better SnD team as well. Control on the other hand they have been a disaster. So I do believe this one ends up being a 3-1 in favor of LAT and a get-back on track game for them. LAG games have been a fairly easy schedule so far with having Paris and a struggling Seattle team as their two wins this round of qualifiers.
I see this one being a banger and one worth a game stack. I see them playing Bocage hardpoint as it's a favorite by both teams and both have been very good on it this season. This map has led to some high killing games and for players like Simp, Abezy, Vivid, and Owakening that is a gold mine for kills. Florida has had a somewhat easy schedule so far but I think they can pull off at least a map here whether it be in SnD or Control. This is more than likely a 3-1 for Atlanta but I think Florida can play spoiler here...
COD DFS Basics
- Like in CSGO, players receive two points for a kill and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is the K/D ratio.
- You need to roster a team slot on both sites. Teams accrue fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and Search and Destroy/Control rounds won (+.5).
- Teams will be playing best-of-five matches on a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played are as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
- In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the highest scorers and these rounds are often the bloodiest.
- They also have changed a game mode from Domination to Control for League play. This is going to be a lot different in gameplay as it's round-based and not the first one to 200. They play first one to 3 round wins. You win by capturing both points or killing the enemy team until they run out of their lives. One team defends and the other attacks.
- There is a sweep bonus this year as teams and players both can get a 20 point player sweep and a 5 point team sweep. In the chance, they do sweep they also get granted a bonus of 20 points for not playing hardpoint and a bonus of 5 points for not playing the final Search and Destroy map. So that adds up in a sweep to a total of 45 extra points which are going to be very crucial this year.

COD DFS Captain Considerations
Simp: I usually don't put Simp up here at this price but he has been playing so god damn well lately, it's hard for me not to. That price is insane too, which means he has to perform. Luckily I think we get a good map rotation with there being a high chance of Bocage Hardpoint being played. A map that FaZe is 7-0 and has been a map that Simp has repeatedly crushed recently. This is a solid 40 kills at least from this map alone if it is picked. Simp didn't start the season off in the greatest way but has improved as the season has gone on and adjustments have been made. Simp holds a 1.03 K/D in Hardpoint, a 1.26 in SnD, and a 1.04 in Control. The pivots are there in Abezy and Cellium but Simp lately has been playing out of his mind.
CleanX: This is a bit of a cheaper captain option at 8,600$ and is one of my favorite Toronto players in this matchup. CleanX plays at a much higher pace than everyone else on his team-leading engagements by quite a bit in all three game modes. His overall K/D hasn't been spectacular this year but what he lacks in lots of deaths he makes up for getting a lot of kills. We should see Bocage or Tuscan for Hardpoint which is a perfect slaying map for CleanX to rack up the kills. His Hardpoint and SnD K/D is a .96 and his Control K/D has been a 1.01.
Other captain plays: Cellium, Envoy, Huke(GPP), Owakening(GPP), Cammy
COD DFS Value Plays
Owakening: I don't care who Big Wake is playing against. Having him at sub 8k I will hop on that every time. He has played at such a dominant level lately it is incredible to watch him. He hasn't dropped below a 100 DKP since the first match of the season. This includes some games where they were 3-0 like against Optic Texas last weekend and Owakening scored 106 DKP still! His ceiling is one of the highest on the slate and has a high floor as well. A great value play at 7,800$. He holds a 1.24 K/D in Hardpoint, a 1.07 in SnD, and a 1.21 in Control.
Kenny/Drazah: There is about no value on this slate and it is actually frustrating. I really don't want any of Paris and they make up the most of it. Bance has been eh lately. I already have Florida above^ and the only other option was from this game. So if you are on the LAG side then Gunless or Asim is a solid value. As for those of us that are on the LAT side of things, Kenny and Drazah are pretty good value. I've been a bit disappointed with how they have played but they have a chance to really redeem themselves and get back on track. I do prefer Kenny between the two but Drazah is solid value if he can have a great game. I don't think LAT can sweep here but if Kenny can pop off in the hardpoints then he can pay off his price.
Other value plays: Gunless, Asim, Vivid
COD DFS Stacks
Toronto Ultra: A little on the pricey side but I think they have the best chance to sweep here. They are a top 4 team in the league and Paris is really bringing up the rear. In a 3-0 Bance is a reasonable price and can be considered a good value play. In any other scenario, I can't see him being very good value as he hasn't hit over 100 in just over a month of games. CleanX is actually one of my favorite plays from this team and he is the cheaper of the big three Toronto has. He doesn't really have the highest ceiling but he has a great floor and definitely should hit for over 110+ in this matchup. Cammy and Insight are a bit tougher because neither guy has been particularly elite and putting out huge numbers. I like Insight a bit more for his price but I do think Cammy has the higher ceiling. Should be a swift 3-0 though and that should start each player off with a nice 45 DKP.
Other Team Plays: LA Thieves, Atlanta FaZe, Florida Mutineers(GPP)
Summary
- TLDR: Toronto 3-0, LAT 3-1, Atlanta 3-1
- Toronto: CleanX, Cammy, Insight
- Paris: Temp
- LAT: Envoy, Kenny
- LAG: Huke, Gunless
- Atlanta: Cellium, Simp, Abezy
- Florida: Owakening, Vivid, Skyz
