Call of Duty: New York Subliners Home Series
Best of 5
- London Royal Ravens (+180) vs. LA Thieves (-240)
- Minnesota Rokkr (+320) vs. Toronto Ultra (-500)
- Optic Chicago (-115) vs. NY Subliners (-115)
Slate Overview
Yikes, London is not looking good. LA Thieves, on the other hand, looked fantastic with their new roster against a very tough opponent in NYSL. I think LA Thieves is gonna be very dominant in this matchup. Slasher has looked great since his return and with this looking like a solid lineup, hopefully, there won't be any substitutes for the rest of the season. John was a great pickup and will look to improve. Kenny is still playing at an elite level and Drazah is still being overlooked. I'm gonna give London a chance at a map so I'll say 3-1 LA Thieves.
This will be Toronto's first game of Stage 5, so it'll be interesting to see how this team performs. But I doubt they drop-off. I'm giving little stock to Minnesota's win over LAG and they did still lose a map. Toronto is a much better team and I wouldn't doubt we see a sweep here. Standy vs. Insight will be a great rookie battle to see. Cammy and Insight are playing at elite levels right now and it should make for a great game for Toronto. 3-0 Toronto.
Optic vs. NY Subliners is gonna be a fantastic game. Both teams are fighting for a higher playoff spot in the Championship next month and this is gonna make for a bloody match. Both teams are good in their own ways, and with NYSL losing in Hardpoint I think that opens Optic up for a chance to take that map. Optic is the better SnD team though so I definitely like them in that game mode. Control though is gonna be a tossup, Optic has struggled a lot in Control and NYSL has always been a team that hasn't been very good at Control. So it's a toss-up. I do think this game ends in a 3-2 Optic win.
COD DFS Basics
- Like in CSGO, players receive two points for a kill and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is K/D ratio. However, players can also earn fantasy points for planting or defusing bombs (three points each) in Search and Destroy rounds, so there are some players who we can target for other skills besides their ability to kill the opponent.
- You need to roster a team slot on both sites. Teams accrue fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and Search and Destroy rounds won (+.5).
- Teams will be playing best-of-five matches on a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played are as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
- In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the highest scorers and these rounds are often the bloodiest.
- They also have changed a game mode from Domination to Control for League play. This is going to be a lot different in gameplay as it's round-based and not the first one to 200. They play first one to 3 round wins. You win by capturing both points or killing the enemy team until they run out of their lives. One team defends and the other attacks.
- There is a sweep bonus this year as teams and players both can get a 20 point player sweep and a 5 point team sweep. In the chance, they do sweep they also get granted a bonus of 20 points for not playing hardpoint and a bonus of 5 points for not playing the final Search and Destroy map. So that adds up in a sweep to a total of 45 extra points which are going to be very crucial this year.

COD DFS Captain Considerations
Cammy: It is going to be seriously difficult to fade Cammy with how insane this man is playing. He has 100+ DKP in 12 of his last 13 games scored by DKP and the one game he went under was in a tough game against Florida! During Stage 4, Cammy averaged a 1.18 K/D in Hardpoint, a 1.15 in SnD, and a 1.10 in Control. He is playing at an elite level right now and I get his price is difficult to get to but he has been so worth the price. Insight is also a great pivot from the same game if you are looking for something a bit cheaper with the ability to score just as high!
Dashy: Dashy has been kinda on the lowkey lately, He has been playing very well for Optic and scoring pretty well in the process. He has had 95+ in 5 straight games and has been the one reliable player on Optic and always a great option to get in your lineups. During stage 4, Dashy averaged a 1.29 K/D in Hardpoint, a .93 in SnD, and a 1.15 in Control. He is going to be much lower owned compared to those that are on LA Thieves or Toronto and could be a great spot to get some leverage in a game that should be a really close one and a possible bloodbath between Optic and NYSL.
Other captain plays: Insight, Slasher, Formal,
COD DFS Value Plays
John: If this was against just about any other team, I wouldn't be risking it. London is one of the worst teams in the league though and seeing John at 6,200 is absolutely insane. This is a fantastic matchup and although he went negative, you could tell this team was ready to play and killed it against NYSL and beat them. This is a better matchup for them and I think it's a good spot to take advantage of so that you can force more Studs into your lineup. He struggled in SnD but played well in Hardpoint where he had a 1.07 K/D. If LA Thieves can sweep this is gonna be a good spot for John to rack up the points.
Scump: Uhm, well last time out, FormaL showed me who's boss and broke the slate. Just my luck. I do have to say though. Scump has been playing very well lately. I don't absolutely love this matchup against NYSL but the value we get on him might be worth it. He has had 118+ in 3 of his last 5 games and has been playing much better compared to his previous stages. In Stage 4 he averaged a 1.02 K/D in Hardpoint, a 1.20 in SnD, and a .92 in Control. Control is a game mode though that both Subliners and Optic have struggled on recently and therefore I think it could be a close map. If you have the extra money though, bump yourself up to Formal for only 400$, he looked fantastic in their last game and is still priced nicely.
Other value plays: Drazah, Formal, Bance
COD DFS Stacks
Toronto Ultra: This will be the first game for Toronto in Stage 5 and I think they get a good matchup. Minnesota hasn't been anything to be too impressed about they are a good team so I do think even if they manage to steal one map, there is a good chance that we see Toronto scores still end up pretty high. Cammy has been elite, and Insight might be one of the best rookies this year. Bance has improved immensely over the course of this season and CleanX is the only one I'm hesitant on based on recent performance and his pricing, he's the only one I'm not interested in. Toronto should come out of this one with a sweep but I'm confident even if they give up one map, Toronto should score well. Toronto will most likely be the highest owned, so LA Thieves would be the best pivot option as they have the best matchup on the slate.
Other Team Plays: LA Thieves, Optic Chicago
Summary
- TLDR: LA Thieves 3-1, Toronto Ultra 3-0, Optic 3-2
- LA Thieves: All Players
- London: Afro, PaulEhx
- Toronto Ultra: Cammy, Insight, Bance
- Minnesota Rokkr: Standy
- Optic: Dashy, FormaL, Scump
- NYSL: Hydra, Mack
