Cavan Biggio (2B/OF, TOR) - Week 20 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 29% of leagues

ANALYSIS: Cavan Biggio is becoming a household name in our waiver wire. People never learn. I'm not going to blame them, though, as Biggio is the less hyped of Toronto's Baby Boom Trio (along with Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.). But it is about time to acknowledge what Biggio is doing.

Not only is Biggio having quite a nice debut season (44 H, 10 HR, 29 RBI, 9 SB) but he's also been scorching hot as of late. Per Baseball Savant, only eight players have a higher delta on their 50 PA rolling wOBA. Biggio, with a wOBA of .400 during his last 50 PA, has improved it .220 points and has only been surpassed by the likes of Nelson Cruz or Michael Conforto.

Perhaps what is dragging Biggio down and keeping him from being rostered on a higher percentage is his low .211 AVG, although his xBA is a little more palatable at .237. Combine that with a top-of-the-order batting profile in Toronto's revamped lineup and a ROS projection of 5/20/20/3 HR/R/RBI/SB and Biggio looks to be as good an addition as any other I can think of.
