With the college basketball slate featuring some afternoon games of note, naturally, the Monkey Knife Fight column takes a look at two evening games.
With the evening games, there are a few that were just destined to get some coverage. The Conference Tournament games are ones to get prepped and get ready for when March Madness truly hits next Thursday.
MonkeyKnifeFight.com continues to be ahead of the curve with their canceling of contests amid postponements, so don't worry about wasting money on a player or game that might not play. As always, you can find me @ChrisWasselDFS on Twitter with any questions, especially since lines and players are subject to change throughout the day.

Duke vs. Louisville
Matthew Hurt (Duke) LESS 23.5 Points - Carlik Jones MORE 19.5 Points
This will come across as a revenge play of sorts but it is a risky yet reasonable play. Now, Matthew Hurt is struggling mightily over his last few games but did enjoy a season-high versus Lousiville with 37 points on 15 for 21 shooting. The problem is this. Asking for a 24 point performance just seems like a lot for a player struggling with shot volume and the quality of his play. Hurt has hit the wall but can he climb out of this rut. Younger players often have this happen at this stage of the season even during a pandemic.
The Blue Devils feature Matthew Hurt almost to a fault at times. Hurt's biggest enemies are foul trouble and arguably himself. Now Carlik Jones is intriguing as well. The senior guard had 25 points in their last meeting with Duke but had been a bit more consistent compared to Hurt. Experience has a lot to do with that. The key for Jones to hit the over may just be getting to the foul line. He had 20 attempts in two meetings versus the Blue Devils. That will be vital if he has an off-shooting night. Jones shoots just around 40% for the season from the field. The Louisville senior wants to see Thursday and that may be enough urgency to push him to the MORE on Wednesday evening.

More or Less
Prentiss Hubb (Notre Dame) LESS 15.5 Points - Armando Bacot (North Carolina) MORE 12.5 Points
Like the Duke and Louisville game, this contest has the feel of being a little higher pace than usual which favors a bit more scoring. Hubb will get his points and yet there is this feeling that Bacot will get his points as well. Bacot shoots well from the field while Hubb has shown more inconsistencies.
The problems with Hubb often multiply. His previous game versus Carolina showed an inability to get to the foul line. That is the wildcard as he should attempt enough shots. Shooting a hair less than 40% is not terrible but he has been below that level the last three contests. Expecting the junior to shoot perfectly from two-point range is a stretch. Expecting him to get to the foul line a lot is an even bigger stretch. This will be very close.
The good thing for the second half of this prop is Armando Bacot finally got the minutes needed for the last two games to produce. If this game does not go into "garbage time" mode, then this bodes very well. Bacot played an average of nearly 26 minutes and averaged 18 points a contest in wins versus Duke and Syracuse. The closer the forward-center comes to ten shot attempts, the more likely he tops the MORE.
