Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (10/27/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I took the first day of PGL Stockholm as all the games were best of 1 and I wanted to see the teams and how they had played on LAN versus their normal Online play. So far as I saw in the previous LAN event, Copenhagen is a team that popped, they get a tough matchup tomorrow against Heroic though. We also have Astralis against GODSENT, FaZe gets a great matchup against Virtus Pro and lastly, we have the battle of Brazil as paiN gaming takes on Sharks!

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Wednesday, October 27st, 2021, at 6:15, am

PGL MAJOR STOCKHOLM 2021

Best of 3

  • Heroic (-240) vs. Copenhagen Flames (+180)
  • Virtus Pro (+110) vs. FaZe (-145)
  • Astralis (-225) vs. GODSENT (+165)
  • paiN Gaming (-275) vs. Sharks (+200)

Captain Plays

Twistzz: Twistzz on his last 4 matches on LAN has been going crazy. I think we are getting a close map which could maximize the kills potentially a ton. In this tournament, he went +7 on 19 kills against Ence and +5 on 22 kills against Spirit. At the end of their last tournament. They played against BiG and OG, Against BiG he went +31 on 48 kills which is insane, and +23 on 66 kills against OG. At 8,800 we are getting great value on potentially a very high-scoring player. He is also usually one of the top fraggers in the game, which is something I always look for when picking a captain.

saffee: saffee, is someone I think you can roster alone or in a stack with other PaiN players, but I honestly like him a lot as a one-off captain play. He is one of the best players in Brazil right now as over the last three months he holds a 1.31 K/D with a .81 KPR and a .61 DPR. We don't have a large sample size of him playing on LAN as this is his first LAN event. And so far paiN has played well, they took VP all the way to the last round as well as Renegades who is the best team in the Australian scene. Sharks looked awful so far as they lost to Mousesports and TYLOO in their first two play-in games. I expect paiN to come out on top with saffee being one of the highest killing players in the game.

Other captain plays in order of preference: broky, Yekindar, stavn, felps(GPP), roeJ(GPP)

Value Plays

karrigan: karrigan has always been a player to avoid when it comes to online play, but as soon as it comes to LAN, it's like something to start to click for him and at 6,400$ I will take all of that. He works great to fit in stacks for FaZe who have so far looked quite good in this tournament. Defeating both Ence and Spirit are big wins. Karrigan in those games went +10 on 28 kills and +2 on 22 kills. Those are great numbers for someone who isn't normally putting numbers up like that. Over the last 3 months on LAN events, he has a 1.03 K/D with a .66 KPR and a .64 DPR.

roej/nicoodoz: I don't know if you can consider roeJ that much of a value play and if you don't nicoodoz is a great option as well. Copenhagen consistently looks like a different team on LAN. roeJ has been super dominant and has led his teams in both games today against good opponents such as Astralis and BiG. At 7,400$ roeJ looks like an elite GPP play that should be heavily considered in your lineups, as I think Copenhagen has a good shot to at least steal a map if not win this match. He went +14 on 30 kills in one map against BiG, and +11 on 24 kills against Astralis. Nicoodoz has looked good as well, and if you don't quite have enough salary for roeJ or if you are looking at stacking Copenhagen then both of these players should be included. RoeJ has a 1.11 K/D in LAN events and nicoodoz has a 1.14 K/D.

Other value plays in order of preference: TeSeS, jabbi, hardzao, buster

Top Stacks / Team Picks

FaZe: I think there are a lot of ways you can go on this slate, but I'm choosing FaZe, because of how well they play as a team on LAN events. I also think their wins over  Ence and Spirit, are much more impressive than the wins that Virtus Pro barely achieved against paiN gaming and Movistar Riders. I do want to say though if you go the VP route then Absolutely get YEKINDAR in your lineups as he has definitely been one of the best on the team recently and can be a run back to FaZe stacks.

As for players go for FaZe, I think you can really use anyone. Karrigan has shown up to this event in style and has started great. Twistzz is always a great play for FaZe as he can turn a slate on its head and go off. Broky is an elite AWPer that limits deaths and can rack up the kills if the right map is in his favor. Rain hasn't been too great so far in the tournament going -1 in both games and at his price seeing that it's a bit risky but isn't a horrible play. Olof isn't a horrible value play but with how well Karrigan has been playing, make it work to go get him over taking the hit on olof, as you have no idea how well he will end up playing.

Other stacking options: PaiN, Copenhagen(favorite GPP), GODSENT, Astralis.

Note: For Astralis, Bubzjki is not playing, therefore do not roster him for Astralis.
