There is a pitching showdown in the Bronx tonight with Kluber and Severino facing off. They are the two highest priced pitchers, so you will need some savings to fit them in your roster. Plenty of good options if you are willing to take a step down, which will help you load up on bats. Only weather concerns is PIT @ CHC.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/28/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Jeff Samardzija, SFG @ SDP (DK - $9,000, FD - $8,400)
There are some big time pitchers on the mound today, but if you are looking to save some money, Samardzija is a great place to look. He is up against the Padres who have a 25.2% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching, which is second worst in the league this season. Samardzija has pitched at least six innings in six straight starts and hasn't given up more than four earned runs. Samardzija can limit the damage, and against a weak offensive team like the Padres, he has plenty of upside tonight. Great pitchers park, and Samardzija has put up six or more strikeouts in two of his last three starts. Great in all formats tonight.
Ian Kennedy, KAN vs TAM (DK - $6,000, FD - $6,300)
By no means is Kennedy a safe option tonight, but he has the potential for a big night due to his match up. He is up against the Rays, who have a 24.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is fourth worst in the league. This game is also in Kansas City, which is a solid pitchers park, and puts him in a good spot against a Tampa team who relies on the long ball for runs. Listen, there are some clear aces on the top of the board for pitching, but if you need a SP2 option on DraftKings to not only save you some money, but also give you a match up with upside, Kennedy is in a spot to rack up some strikeouts and pick up the win.
DFS Infielders to Consider
Buster Posey - C, SFG @ SDP (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,800)
Yes Posey is struggling right now, yes he is a bit of a risky play, but he still has a .335 wOBA and a .369 OBP vs right-handed pitching this season. There is no question that Posey hasn't been the same player this season, but he is a bit cheaper on FanDuel, and he still has the power to hit the long ball. Could get him at lower ownership tonight.
Freddie Freeman - 1B, ATL @ PHI (DK - $4,500, FD - $4,100)
Freeman has hits in eight of his last 11 games, including five doubles. He is crushing the ball as he always does, and comes into this game with a .454 wOBA and a .319 ISO against right-handed pitchers. Freeman is at a solid hitters park, against a pitcher (Nola) who has given up 12 ER over his last two starts, and is clearly struggling.
Jonathan Schoop - 2B, BAL vs SEA (DK - $4,600, FD - $4,100)
Always use Schoop for the freshest breath. Schoop has hits in 13 of his last 15 games, and is a prime options at second base tonight. He has a .391 wOBA and a .293 ISO this season vs left-handed pitching. After the three game sweep Baltimore just finished up in Boston, they are looking to make their final push for a wild card spot. Schoop has been a big part of the team's offensive power, so load him up any chance you get.
Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA @ BAL (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,400)
Seager has a .325 wOBA and a .187 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, and is in a good spot tonight. He is facing off against a pitcher who is giving up a whopping .440 wOBA to left-handed hitters. That is a massive number, and since Seager gets a huge positive park shift being at Baltimore, he is a great play tonight.
Marcus Semien - SS, OAK (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,400)
Semien has hits in five of his last seven games and has a .330 wOBA and a .119 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He may not have a ton of power, but he has a .358 OBP vs RHP, so he can get on base, and has a bit of stolen base potential along with it. A bit cheaper on DraftKings tonight, if you are playing over there.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Kevin Pillar - OF, TOR vs BOS (DK - $2,900, FD - $2,900)
Pillar is cheap on both sites, and he has a .377 wOBA and a .211 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers. He is a great play in all formats tonight, because he brings the always need salary relief. He has four multi-hit games over his last eight, and is at home in a good hitters park.
Nick Williams - OF, PHI vs ATL (DK - $3,200, FD - $3,200)
Williams is also a cheaper option tonight, and he has a .353 wOBA along with a .212 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Three multi-hit games over his last five, and although the Phillies may be a bad team, he is one of the bright spots. He has the power to go deep, and makes a great one off in GPPs.
Kyle Schwarber - OF, CHC vs PIT (DK - $4,100, FD - $3,600)
Yes Schwarber strikes out at a super high rate vs RHP (29%) but he swings big, and misses big too. With that risk, can come the reward of a home run or two. The Cubs offense is hot right now, and Schwarber has a .329 wOBA and a .257 ISO vs right-handed pitching, so if you are chasing a home run guy, look at him.
