Hitter Streamers for 5/31 - Shallow Leagues
Tyler O'Neill (OF, RHB, STL) - 56% Rostered
Matchup: at LAD RHP Trevor Bauer
O'Neill is still available in enough leagues to be considered a streamer. The slugging outfielder has homered four times in his last seven games, giving him 11 on the season. He's also added four stolen bases, making him a priority add in shallow leagues. While the matchup is tough against Bauer, O'Neill has the ability to go deep against any pitcher. He's also worth keeping on your team for the long haul.
Brad Miller (1B/2B/3B/OF, LHB, PHI) - 36% Rostered
Matchup: at CIN LHP Wade Miley
Miller offers positional flexibility in a great matchup in the bandbox that is Great American Ballpark. While it's it'll be lefty vs. lefty against Miley, I'm not too concerned about that because I don't think Miley will be able to pitch deep in this game. Miller has four multi-hit games in his last eight with six runs, two homers, six RBI, and one steal during that stretch.
Joc Pederson (1B/OF, LHB, CHC) - 31% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SD N/A
Joe Musgrove was supposed to start this game, but he pitched in relief on Sunday, so it's unclear who will take the mound for the Padres. Whoever it is, it'll be a righty, which is great news for Pederson, who has hit all four of his homers vs. RHP. Since May 19, Pederson has gone 11-for-41 (.268) with six runs, three homers, and eight RBI. He's in a good spot to provide run production in this one.
Evan Longoria (3B, RHB, SF) - 30% Rostered
Matchup: vs. LAA RHP Dylan Bundy
Longoria is red-hot right now, going 13-for-35 (.371) with seven runs, four homers, and 13 RBI in his last nine games. The veteran third baseman is generating a lot of hard contact, grading in the 93rd-percentile with a .397 xwOBA. He gets a good matchup against a struggling righty in Bundy, who has given up 17 earned runs in his last three starts, spanning 9.2 innings. Longoria needs to be rostered in more leagues.
Hitter Streamers for 5/31 - Deep Leagues
Kolten Wong (2B, LHB, MIL) - 29% Rostered
Matchup: vs. DET N/A
Wong is a fixture in the leadoff spot in the Brewers lineup, so he needs to be rostered in more deep leagues. He's gone 14-for-38 (.368) with six runs, seven RBI, and three stolen bases in his last ten games. The probable starter is not confirmed for the Tigers yet, but we can still safely fire up Wong because of how weak the Tigers' bullpen is. The Brewers lineup is starting to get healthy, so this could be a big offensive series for them against the lowly Tigers.
Odubel Herrera (2B/OF, LHB, PHI) - 13% Rostered
Matchup: at CIN LHP Wade Miley
Herrera has hit in the heart of the Phillies order of late, batting in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th spots in nine of his last 10 games. Like teammate Brad Miller, he has a lefty-on-lefty matchup, but I'll continue to fire him up anyway because he'll be well-positioned to provide production, especially if the Phillies are able to chase Miley early. Herrera can be under-owned pieces of a Phillies stack in DFS since he's facing a lefty.
Jonathan India (2B/3B, RHB, CIN) - 11% Rostered
Matchup: vs. PHI RHP Vince Velasquez
It's always a good idea to get a piece of this powerful Reds lineup whenever they're at home, so we'll go with India here. The young middle infielder has hit safely in seven of his last 10 games, putting up two RBI and one stolen base during that span. This is more of a bet on a strong offense putting up big numbers against a mediocre pitcher in Velasquez, so India will have opportunities for run production.
Trevor Larnach (OF, LHB, MIN) - 4% Rostered
Matchup: at BAL RHP Jorge Lopez
Larnach has swung the bat well lately, going 5-for-14 (.357) with two runs, two homers, and five RBI in his last six games. Since May 20, the young outfielder has walked nine times with nine strikeouts. He's seeing the ball well, making him worth a stream in a hitter-friendly environment at Camden Yards, facing a pitcher in Lopez who has given up a ton of hard contact, grading in the 22nd-percentile in xwOBA.
Pitcher Streamers for 5/31 - Shallow Leagues
James Kaprielian (RHP, OAK) - 37% Rostered
Matchup: at SEA
Kaprielian has been impressive for the A's, allowing only three earned runs in three starts, spanning 17.2 innings. The young righty has given up only 10 hits while walking six and striking out 19. In his last start, he shut down these Mariners for seven, two-hit, shutout innings. While there's always a risk that a lineup will fare better against a pitcher when they face him twice in such a short span, I'm willing to ride with Kaprielian while he's hot.
Pitcher Streamers for 5/31 - Deep Leagues
Merrill Kelly (RHP, ARI) - 10% Rostered
Matchup: vs. NYM
Kelly is rolling right now, allowing three runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts. He's also struck out six or more in four of his last five outings, including a career-high 12 strikeouts against the Dodgers. It's worth noting that in his last two starts, Kelly hasn't issued a walk while striking out 18. He has a good chance to keep it going against a depleted Mets lineup at home.
