Hitter Streamers for 6/14 - Shallow Leagues
Justin Upton (OF, RHB, LAA) - 55% Rostered
Matchup: at OAK LHP Sean Manaea
Upton is rolling right now, slashing .311/.434/.689 with six home runs in 76 plate appearances since May 23rd. He's been a fixture in the leadoff spot for the Angels, so he's in a prime spot for production. Upton faces Manaea, who has been effective this season, but the Angels are good against lefties: 111 wRC+ (T-5th) and 22.1 K% (6th). There's a good chance that the Angels get to Manaea in this one and Upton should play a role.
Jorge Soler (OF, RHB, KC) - 47% Rostered
Matchup: vs. DET LHP Matthew Boyd
Soler is finally starting to get hot, going 4-for-19 (.211) with three runs, two homers, three RBI, and two walks in his last six games. He's got a good matchup against Boyd, who has allowed four or more runs in four of his last five starts. Boyd has also given up four homers in his last three starts, which is bad news for a pitcher who has struggled with the longball throughout his career (2.24 HR/9 in 2020).
C.J. Cron (1B, RHB, COL) - 34% Rostered
Matchup:vs. SD RHP Dinelson Lamet/LHP Ryan Weathers*
Cron is always in play at Coors, where he's slashing .321/.390/.528 with two home runs and nine RBI this season. This is the first game of a 7-game homestand, so Cron can stick on your team for at least this week given this favorable situation. While he hasn't done much lately, he's still putting up a 68th-percentile xwOBA. We know how he's capable of a power binge, why can't he get one started in this first game of the homestand?
Hitter Streamers for 6/14 - Deep Leagues
Joey Votto (1B, LHB, CIN) - 17% Rostered
Matchup: at MIL LHP Eric Lauer
Votto has been hitting well since returning from injury, going 5-for-21 (.238) with four runs, two homers, and nine RBI in six games. While this is a lefty-on-lefty matchup against Lauer, he doesn't pitch deep into games, so there's not too much to worry about here. Votto is seeing the ball well right now and has a chance to keep it going at American Family Field, which is a favorable place for lefties.
Brendan Rodgers (2B/SS, RHB, COL) - 17% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SD RHP Dinelson Lamet/LHP Ryan Weathers*
Rodgers has prospect pedigree and he's starting to get it going recently, going 10-for-28 (.357) with four runs, three homers, and nine RBI in his last 10 games. We have to give him a bump at Coors, especially with the way he's swinging the bat right now. Rodgers also can become a long-term pickup because there's a chance that he can provide season-long value with how he looks at the plate.
Ha-Seong Kim (2B/3B/SS, RHB, SD) - 10% Rostered
Matchup: at COL LHP Austin Gomber
Kim has been given sporadic playing time in his first MLB season, but he's slashing .289/.341/.395 against lefties and he'll be facing one here in Gomber. Gomber has been very good lately, but this is still a game at Coors Field where there is always a chance of a high-scoring affair. Kim can be a cheap piece of a Padres stack in DFS or a streamer in deep leagues in this matchup.
Pitcher Streamers for 6/14 - Shallow Leagues
Tony Gonsolin (RHP, LAD) - 61% Rostered
Matchup: vs. PHI
Gonsolin struggled in his first start off the IL against the Pirates, lasting only 1.2 innings while allowing one run on two hits. He had major issues with control, issuing five walks, but he did demonstrate his strikeout upside, setting down five Pirates in this short outing. Gonsolin has high upside while he's in the rotation, so we need to give him a mulligan for his first start off injury and fire him up against the Phillies.
Pitcher Streamers for 6/14 - Deep Leagues
Vladimir Gutierrez (RHP, CIN) - 13% Rostered
Matchup: at MIL
Gutierrez has been sharp for the Reds, allowing two runs or less in each of his three starts. He faced the Brewers in his last outing, going seven strong innings, giving up two runs on six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. While there's always risk with a pitcher facing a team twice in such a short timeframe, Gutierrez looks like the most desirable option in deeper formats.
