It's another manic Monday, so you know what time it is - it's time to dig deep and find some streamers. Today we're hoping for a bounce-back start from a Cubs' righty in an exploitable matchup. We'll also take a look at some low-rostered Astros, Reds, and Blue Jays!
When choosing my daily hitter streamers, I examine their platoon splits, lineup position, and pitching matchup. With pitchers, I account for the opposing lineup, team ballpark, and recent performance to help make my decision.
Each of my streamers will be rostered in between 0-40% of Yahoo leagues, with a mixed focus on both shallow and deeper formats. Today, I will be providing a streamer for each position, including two starting pitchers. Let’s take a look at the Monday slate and dig out some streamer gems to help you start off the week with a bang!

Hitter Streamers for 8/24 - Infielders
Kolten Wong (2B, STL, LHB) - 33% Rostered
Matchup: vs. KC RHP Brad Keller
Wong is on a hot streak right now, going 9-for-25 (.360) with seven runs, four walks, one RBI, and two stolen bases in his last seven games. He's been a fixture in the leadoff spot in this Cardinals' lineup since the team has restarted their season. Keller has yet to allow a run in 17.2 innings this season, but he's not a pitcher who scares you out of a streaming choice. Fire up Wong.
Niko Goodrum (1B/2B/SS/OF, DET, SHB) - 18% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHC LHP Alec Mills
Goodrum is always in play against a lefty, slashing .400/.409/.900 with two home runs against southpaws this season. Mills is our streamer for today, but Goodrum's platoon splits are too good to pass up in this one. Goodrum is coming off a big game on Sunday where he went 2-for-3 with a home run and two walks, so perhaps this is the start of a hot streak.
Maikel Franco (3B, KC, RHB) - 13% Rostered
Matchup: @ STL RHP Jack Flaherty
Franco has been a cheap source of power so far this year, slashing .255/.294/.480 with five home runs. He goes up against Cardinals' ace Jack Flaherty, who will be limited to a low pitch count in this one. Flaherty threw only 41 pitches in his last start, so it's hard to expect any more than 70 here. Franco is a solid play against a pitcher who is still trying to find his groove after a long lay-off.
Matt Davidson (1B/3B, CIN, RHB) - 0% Rostered
Matchup: @ MIL LHP Brett Anderson
Davidson is a lefty-masher, slashing .375/.444/1.000 with three home runs and 10 RBI against southpaws this season. He's slotted in the three-hole or cleanup role every time that he's been in the lineup, so he's in a prime position for production. Davidson has a good matchup against Anderson, who struggles to miss bats, with a middling 7.8 SwStr%.
Hitter Streamers for 8/24 - Outfielders
Hunter Renfroe (OF, TB, RHB) - 39% Rostered
Matchup: vs. TOR RHP Tanner Roark
Renfroe is the ultimate boom-or-bust hitting streamer, with the ability to pop off for a multi-home run game or go 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. He's worth a shot in this one against Tanner Roark, who has had issues with the long ball in the past, posting a 1.52 HR/9 last season.
Stephen Piscotty (OF, OAK, RHB) - 12% Rostered
Matchup: @ TEX RHP Lance Lynn
Piscotty has been hitting well lately, going 21-70 (.300) with nine runs, four home runs, 21 RBI, and one stolen base in his last 20 games. He has a tough matchup against Rangers' ace Lance Lynn, but Piscotty is a solid option in a weak slate of streamers for Monday.
Sam Hilliard (OF, COL, LHB) - 11% Rostered
Matchup: @ ARZ RHP Merrill Kelly
Hilliard was a trendy sleeper pick due to his tools, but he had gotten off to a slow start - until now. Hilliard has two home runs and one stolen base in his last two games. He's definitely worth a stream here with the upside for more due to his power and speed profile.
Pitcher Streamer for 8/24
Alec Mills (RHP, CHC) @ DET - 30% Rostered
Mills is the only recommended pitcher on a weak slate. He's coming off a poor start against the Cardinals, where he allowed six runs in only 3.2 innings, but prior to this, he was pitching well, allowing six runs in 19 innings. The Tigers have struggled against righties, posting a .299 wOBA (24th) and 28.5 K% coming into Sunday's game.
