Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Saturday 6/5

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to give your pitching staff a lift because of another suboptimal outing from Gerrit Cole, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We have 11 pitchers who are over 90% rostered and another five that are above 50%. That only leaves us 14 pitchers who are under 50% rostered. How bad is this pond today? Not as bad as you might think once you jump into it.

Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers received five total writing awards and 13 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, tops in the industry! Congrats to all the award winners and nominees including Best MLB Series, NFL Series, NBA Writer, PGA Writer and Player Notes writer of the year. Be sure to follow their analysis, rankings and advice all year long, and win big with RotoBaller! Read More!

Hitter Streamers for 6/5 - Shallow Leagues

Evan Longoria (3B, RHB, SF) - 44.6% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CHC RHP  Kohl Stewart

Longoria picked up where he left off after missing two games with soreness in his side. He picked up a run and an RBI last night, giving him six straight games with a RBI and 13 RBI total in his last eight games with four homers in that span. That's also a nine-game hit streak for Longoria with a .406 average during that streak. It's ridiculous that he's still out there in so many leagues. Go rectify that before I lose my damn mind, will you?

James McCann (C, LHB, NYM) - 36.7% Rostered

Matchup: at SD RHP Joe Musgrove

If you have a struggling catcher like I do, McCann makes for a great streaming option. He's the only bright spot for a slumping and injured Mets offense right now. McCann is hitting .375 with three homers, five runs, and nine RBI in the last week while picking up some starts at first base as well. The Polar Bear is back, so that fun is over, but McCann should still start nearly every game at catcher. Let's see if the hot hitting follows him back to his old position.

Hunter Renfroe (OF, RHB, BOS) - 34% Rostered

Matchup: at NYY RHP Jameson Taillon

This is mostly going to be a bullpen game for the Yankees since King hasn't gone more than three innings in a game since the first week of April. Renfroe is on fire right now with an eight-game hitting streak over which he is hitting .481 with two homers, four RBI, and ten runs scored. Those counting stats help you in any league. Renfroe has always been a streaky player. He is riding a nice heater right now and he has homered against Jameson Taillon before. He's worth picking up to see if he can add another to that total.

Jonathan Schoop (1B/2B, RHB, DET) - 25.8% Rostered

Matchup: at CWS RHP Lucas Giolito

If you picked up Schoop yesterday like I recommended, he rewarded you with a perfect 4-4 day at the plate with two homers and five RBI. Not bad for a streamer, huh? Why jump off now? Sure, Giolito is a very good pitcher, but Schoop is hitting .316 with a homer against Giolito in 19 at bats. Considering the .565 average, five homers, and 10 RBI in the last week, I'm willing to go grab Schoop and see if he can keep this going.

Hitter Streamers for 6/5 - Deep Leagues

Willy Adames (SS, RHB, MIL) - 19.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. ARI RHP Merrill Kelly

Those of you watching advanced metrics and Statcast should feel the vindication of Adames' heater since being traded to the Brewers. He is 12-for-43 with five runs, two homers, and nine RBI since joining the Brewers. Those numbers improve to .348 with two homers and seven RBI in the last week. The only knock on Adames right now is that he's hitting sixth or seventh. That's it.

Odubel Herrera (OF, LHB, PHI) - 17.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. WAS RHP Joe Ross

Herrera drew the collar against Mad Max last night, but there was always a risk of that happening. I'm willing to hold on to him one more day to take a shot at Joe Ross. The 3-8 tally with a RBI against Ross is no big deal, but remember that Herrera was hitting the ball very well until Scherzer clamped the collar on his last night. Ross has given up 16 runs over his last four starts. This is the time to go after him.

Josh Fuentes (1B/3B, RHB, COL) - 15.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. OAK LHP Cole Irvin

Irvin is making his first career start at Coors Field and the Rockies are absolutely destroying lefties on the season. Colorado is hitting .274 against southpaws and hitting .275 overall at home. The Coors effect is very real. Fuentes is a career .284 hitter against southpaws and is smacking them to the tune of .367 this season. Virtually every pitch Irvin throws Fuentes hits well with the exception of the slider. We should see some crooked numbers tonight.

Jonathan India (2B/3B, RHB, CIN) - 10.9% Rostered

Matchup: at STL RHP Johan Oviedo

India has cooled after a hot start, but he is showing signs of getting comfortable again with 7 hits in his last 13 at bats over five games. He has a homer, a steal, three runs, and three RBI in this mini-heater, so he's worth taking a look at. Oviedo is a guy who still has not won a game at the major league level and is only back in the rotation because on an injury to Jack Flaherty. Let's take advantage of the Reds not having to face Flaherty.

Pitcher Streamer for 6/5 - Shallow Leagues

Mike Minor (LHP, KC) - 30.9% rostered

Matchup: vs. Minnesota

This isn't 2019 anymore where the Twins absolutely brutalized left-handed pitching. They are still good against lefties, but they are striking out at a 27.8% clip against southpaws and the .247 average is just a little above average. They aren't destroying lefties this year. Minor has a career 2.60 ERA in 27.2 innings against the Twins in his career, so he has held his own against them. On top of that, Minor is rounding into form. He has at least seven strikeouts in five straight games. His ratios wont really help or hurt you, but the extra strikeouts should help if you're close in that category.

Pitcher Streamer for 6/5 - Deep Leagues

Alex Cobb (RHP, LAA) - 11% rostered

Matchup: vs. Seattle

Advertising

It was a rough start to the season for Cobb, but he has allowed just one run combined in his last three starts while striking out 20 in 17 innings. The strikeouts aren't the norm for Cobb, but there is reason to think that they will keep coming against the free-swinging Mariners. Seattle is hitting just .210 against righties on the season and striking out 29% of the time. Cobb should be a nice boost to your ratios right now. The recent uptick in strikeouts is just a bonus.
