Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for Greinke getting thumped on Thursday, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.
It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.
We only have six pitchers who are over 90% rostered and another five that are above 50%. That leaves us a huge player pool to dig through for streamers today. Are any of these 19 pitchers going to help us swipe a category?
Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers received five total writing awards and 13 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, tops in the industry! Congrats to all the award winners and nominees including Best MLB Series, NFL Series, NBA Writer, PGA Writer and Player Notes writer of the year. Hitter Streamers for 6/13 - Shallow Leagues
Joc Pederson (OF, LHB, CHC) - 48.3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. STL RHP Carlos Martinez
If you took my advice and picked up Pederson yesterday, you got a homer for your diligence on waivers. Don't go throwing him back just yet! Carlos Martinez has been dreadful over his last two starts, allowing 15 (no, that's not a typo) runs in just 4.2 innings against the Dodgers and Indians. Woof! It likely won't get better here. Martinez has a 4.60 career ERA against the arch-rival Cubs in 117.1 innings. Add in his career 5.28 ERA at Wrigley in 46 innings and it looks even worse. It also doesn't help that Pederson has homered off of him once before.
Ian Happ (OF, SHB, CHC) - 47.3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. STL RHP Carlos Martinez
Everything I said about CarMart applies here too. Except for one little thing. Happ is 6-for-18 with two homers and four RBI in his career against Martinez. You can't ask for much more in a streamer.
Hunter Renfroe (OF, RHB, BOS) - 37.6% Rostered
Matchup: vs. TOR LHP Robbie Ray
Renfroe has slowed down from his torrid stretch at the end of May, but that doesn't mean that this isn't still a good spot for him. Renfroe is still hitting .273 in the last fortnight and is hitting a robust .327 against lefties this year. Robbie Ray is one of those guys that can rack up a ton of strikeouts. In fact, he has struck out Renfroe 10 times in just 23 at bats. However, if strikeouts don't count against you, I still suggest Renfroe here. All three of his career hits against Ray have cleared the fence. He's the ultimate streamer if you need a homer today.
Adam Duvall (OF, RHB, MIA) - 22.9% Rostered
Matchup: vs. ATL LHP Drew Smyly
The 0.8% of you that picked up Duvall yesterday were on board for his third homer and eighth RBI of the last five games. Hell, Duvall even stole a base! He's facing another lefty today, and a much worse one than the one he took deep yesterday. Don't bail on the Duvall train just yet!
Hitter Streamers for 6/13 - Deeper Leagues
Willy Adames (SS, RHB, MIL) - 19.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. PIT RHP Wil Crowe
Yeah, I know, Willy Adames is still not a sexy name. However, that doesn't mean that he can't help your fantasy teams. After an absolutely horrid start in Tampa, Adames is hitting .292 with three homers, 14 RBI and nine runs scored in 20 games with the Brewers. Perhaps the biggest thing with Adames is the spike in OBP and OPS with the Brewers. Adames struck out a terrifying 51 times in 132 at bats with the Rays. He has only struck out 19 times in 72 at bats with Milwaukee. That's right, Adames has more hits than strikeouts as a Brewer. This is another good matchup for Adames if you need any kind of production from your middle infield.
Jake Fraley (OF, LHB, SEA) - 9% Rostered
Matchup: at CLE RHP Shane Bieber
I usually don't fire up guys against the Biebs, but Fraley is hot right now. He has reached base safely in all but one game since joining the lineup daily on May 31. He has three homers, 12 RBI, and four steals in that span with a gaudy .484 OBP. That's right. Steals. The waiver wire unicorn stat. Fraley is providing power and speed and getting in base at a high rate for those of you in leagues that track that.
Max Stassi (C, RHB, LAA) - 8.9% Rostered
Matchup: at ARI RHP Jon Duplantier
Here's hoping Stassi is in the lineup again. He did get Friday off, and with a day game yesterday, there's hope. Stassi is 9-for-18 with two homers and six RBI in the last week and is facing a guy that has given up 13 runs in 11.2 innings in three starts this year. If you have a struggling catcher, or even just a catcher with an off day, load up on some Stassi today.
Jake Fraley (1B, LHB, CLE) - 5.5% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SEA RHP Logan Gilbert
Bradley wasn't yet in the Majors when Cleveland roughed up the rookie a bit in his first major league start. In fact, Bradley has only been in The Show for 14 at bats. All he has done is drop half of those at bats in for hits, scored six times, homered twice, and driven in seven. How's this for efficient: Bradley has appeared as a starter or pinch hitter in five Major League games. He has scored in every single one of them. Just start engraving the plaque now!
Pitcher Streamer for 6/13 - Shallow Leagues
Logan Gilbert (RHP, SEA) - 18.4% rostered
Matchup: at Cleveland
Gilbert is finally starting to make good on some of his potential. He has allowed only five runs over his last three starts combined while striking out 16 in 15 innings. The walks are still a bit of a concern, but he has not allowed more than five hits in any of his five starts. Gilbert made his Major League debut against the Tribe exactly a month ago and it didn't go so well. However, Gilbert looks like a better pitcher of late. He should help a bit with the ratios and give us a decent shot at a win if the bullpen doesn't blow it.
Pitcher Streamers for 6/13 - Deeper Leagues
Adrian Houser (RHP, MIL) - 15% rostered
Matchup: vs. Pittsburgh
Houser doesn't get the name recognition on this staff that Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes do, but he has been just as good as them over the last few starts. Houser has allowed just two runs on 11 hits while striking out 14 over a span of 15.1 innings in his last three starts. Houser wont go deep in this game, and even though Pittsburgh is improving, they still strike out enough to make Houser a nice target today.
Patrick Sandoval (LHP, LAA) - 4.2% rostered
Matchup: at Arizona
I usually don't make it a point to go after Arizona at home, but there is enough here to make Sandoval interesting. He racked up a career-high 10 strikeouts against the Mariners in his last start and hasn't allowed more than two runs in a start since May 12 against Houston. Sandoval isn't going to dominate this game, but if' you're in need of strikeouts, he may be the best quick fix out there that won't destroy your ratios in the process.
