We've got a big game 10 game slate tonight, but there are some standout games on the slate. The Pelicans, Magic, and Bulls all have implied totals significantly higher than their season average, making them interesting teams/game stacks to look at. By position, I am happy to pay down at both guard spots this week and instead pay up for big men on tonight's slate.
Though it would take work at other positions, my favorite core to start lineups with for the night is Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, and DeMarcus Cousins. Let's dig into the rest of the guys to put around them.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/6/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get started. Good luck!
DFS Guards to Consider
Rajon Rondo - PG, vs DEN ($6,000)
Rondo is well past any type of minutes limit, as he has 27 minutes or more in each of his past five games. In that same span, he has averaged almost exactly a fantasy point a minute, putting him nicely on pace to reach value. To make things even better, the Nuggets have allowed the fourth most FanDuel points to opposing point guards. The final point in Rondo’s favor is the Pelicans implied team total of 111.5, tied for the second highest on the slate.
Shaun Livingston ($4,300)/Patrick McCaw ($4,400) - vs CHA
There is going to be value among Warriors guards until pricing adjusts for the relatively long-term absence of Steph Curry. Just how much value there is tonight will depend on the status of guard Patrick McCaw, who is battling a nose injury and is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s matchup. If he is out, Livingston becomes a nice value play, but if McCaw is available he may be the preferable option. Luckily, they are priced extremely similarly so let the news throughout the day dictate your lineup decision.
Victor Oladipo- SG, vs. CHI ($9,400)
Victor Oladipo has been a machine of late, shooting 59.1% from the field over his past four games. While that mark isn’t sustainable forever, Wednesday isn’t the day to bet on regression as the Bulls have been one of the kindest teams to opposing shooting guards. In addition, the Pacers implied team total is nearly four points higher than their average on the season. All that adds up to a big day for Oladipo offensively. The price is getting prohibitive, which should scare some people off of him on Wednesday's slate. He will be a fade shortly, but I'll consider paying up one more night.
Also Consider: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Jamal Murray
DFS Forwards to Consider
Jimmy Butler - SF, @LAC ($8,900)
Jimmy Butler frequently looked uncomfortable in the early portions of the season with his new team, but it certainly appears he has turned a corner recently. Most importantly, it is clear that he has gotten more aggressive in looking for his shot as he has attempted more field goals, attempted more three point field goals, and gotten to the line far more frequently since the calendar flipped to December. That’s a small sample, but shot volume isn’t down far enough for Andrew Wiggins or Karl-Anthony Towns in that span to suggest that Butler’s increased usage is unsustainable. His price has yet to catch up and Butler just torched the Clippers for 53 FD points on Sunday so the matchup is there.
Kevin Durant - SF vs. CHA ($10,000)
In contrast to the situation at guard, Steph Curry's absence makes Kevin Durant an elite option for tonight's slate. There isn't much sample of him playing in the absence of Curry this season, but the Hornets are a very exploitable matchup, allowing the third most points per game to opposing small forwards. The Warriors have the highest implied team total on the night. Look for Durant to put his stamp on this game early and often.
Frank Kaminsky- PF, vs GSW ($4,100)
As usual, the Warriors are likely to play small on Wednesday against the Hornets. That should take away some minutes from Dwight Howard and allow Kaminsky to see the court a bit more. While a matchup against Draymond Green may not be ideal, Kaminsky should be able to take advantage of David West and others among the Warriors' backup bigs. With a price tag of just $4,100, Kaminsky is one of my favorite punt plays on Wednesday’s slate.
DFS Centers to Consider
Nikola Vucevic - C, vs ATL($8,100)
The Hawks big men are depleted by injuries which leaves Vucevic in an exploitable matchup. Take your Tums prior to locking him in however, as Frank Vogel may give you heartburn with his rotation decisions. There is some risk as a result, but when the Magic have had one day off this season, Vucevic has averaged over 30 minutes per game. Given the high pace of this game and the aforementioned depleted Hawks frontcourt, Vucevic is a potential pivot away from DeMarcus Cousins on Wednesday's slate.
Also consider: DeMarcus Cousins, Robin Lopez
