BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 36% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Despite me telling you to roster Dane Dunning last Sunday after he compiled a 1-0 record in his first four starts with a 2.70 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 21 Ks in 20.0 IP, he's only been added to 10% more rosters. What did he do this past week since I told you to roster him? Well, he faced the Twins and went 7.0 IP giving up just one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out seven, earning his second straight victory. That outing lowered his season ERA to 2.33 and his WHIP down to 0.93.
As things currently stand, Dunning is due to have two starts in the final week of the season (at Cleveland and home against the Cubs). The Cubs will have likely won the NL Central by that start so could rest some starters with only the no.2 or no.3 seed likely to be up for grabs. The Cubs only rank 23rd in .SLG, 17th in wOBA and 18th in runs scored so don't exactly frighten you away from starting someone against them. Meanwhile, the Indians rank 28th in .SLG, 27th in wOBA and 26th in runs scored so on paper is a juicy match up. The White Sox could tinker with their rotation next week but even if Dunning only gets one start, it could be a season winner for you and he's someone who should be rostered in all leagues for the final week of the season.
