It's a full slate of MLB games on DraftKings for Wednesday's contests, as there is one game in the early afternoon and the remaining 14 contests take place in the evening. Because there's (can be) only one day game (Highlander) I'm going to focus on the evening games so that you can apply this advice to all of the evening and late contests.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/28/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all evening and late contests.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Luis Perdomo (RHP)
The Dodgers have destroyed RHP this season to the tune of a .264/.332/.440 triple slash that is good for the fourth best AVG, fourth best OBP and fifth best SLG in all of MLB against RHP. In case you're wondering their slugging percentage is .772 against RHP and that's also the fifth best mark in the league. Not only do the Dodgers hit RHP, but they have shelled Padres SP Luis Perdomo this season as well, as they've managed to score 20 runs (18 earned) against him in just 18 innings of work. I would expect more of that on Wednesday and I would be happy to stack up the Dodgers including but not limited to Corey Seager, Yasmani Grandal, Chase Utley, Howie Kendrick, Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez and Justin Turner. Oh, and fee free to use their SP Jose De Leon too.
Boston Red Sox vs. Bryan Mitchell (RHP)
Bryan Mitchell has posted a 1-5 record with a 5.06 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 58 and 2/3 innings pitched. This season the Boston Red Sox have posted a show stopping quadruple slash of 2.86/.350/.471/.821 against RHP. That is the best AVG, OBP and OPS in the league and the second best SLG (and it's only one percentage point behind the league leading Rockies who play half of their games at the hitter's paradise of Coors Field). Nothing else to say here. It should be a massacre. Use any and all Red Sox.
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings
Jose De Leon, LAD at SD- $8,500
Jose De Leon has been up and down thus far in his brief MLB career as he's allowed three, two and four earned runs in this three starts, but never pitched more than six innings in any single start. What Jose has done well in his small MLB sample is strike batters out, as he's K'd 14 in 14 and 2/3 innings pitched. That ability is bolstered by the fact that the Padres strike out in 25% of their at bats, the second worst mark in the league. So even if Jose gets blow up again, like he was last time out in Arizona, he should be a great source of strikeouts. At DK that means lots of points as K's are worth two points each. That should help Jose get into the low to mid twenties and be a solid value play on Wednesday night.
Seth Lugo, NYM at MIA - $5,400
Seth Lugo has been solid for the Mets this season as he's managed to post a 4-2 record, a 2.61 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a K:BB ratio of 43:18 across 58 and 2/3 innings pitched. At DK Lugo has more than tripled his price tag in fantasy points per game in four of his last six outings, but not in his last two. I think he does that again and is a good bet for more than 17 points. This would make him a solid value play on a night when he's possibly a contrarian play as well.
DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings
Catcher (C)
Yasmani Grandal, LAD at SD - $4,100
Grandal has been hotter than a Guatemalan insanity pepper over the past week (four games and three starts) as he's mashed to the tune of a .545/.643/.1.182 triple slash while cranking two HR and notching seven RBI. I might be insane to fade Gary Sanchez, but Grandal is $1,000 cheaper and it doesn't hurt that he's slugged .503 against RHP this season with 13 doubles, a triple and 23 HR in just 310 at bats. If you want to roster Gary I understand, but I'm on team Yasmani on Wednesday.
First Base (1B)
Trey Mancini, BAL@ TOR - $2,300
While it's only a seven at bat sample size Trey has managed three HR and a double against LHP this season. On Wednesday he'll face LHP Francisco Liriano and the Blue Jays at the hitter friendly Rogers Centre in Toronto. This season Liriano has allowed RHH a triple slash line of .257/.353/.443 along with 19 doubles, two triples and 21 HR in just 460 at bats. I think Trey stays hot against lefties and notches another extra base hit on Wednesday. Make sure that he's in fact in the lineup. If he is he just might be the best value play of the night, so join me and get him in all your lineups.
Second Base (2B)
Trea Turner, ARI@ WAS - $5,600
Trea Turner has been ridiculously hot lately as he's managed to crank out 17 hits including two doubles, a triple, four HR and three SB in his past 11 games (10 starts). He's obviously really expensive on Wednesday night, but I think that he's well worth paying up for as he gets to face RHP Shelby Miller. Not only has Miller been terrible, but Trea has slugged an amazing .610 against RHP this season with 31 extra base hits in only 231 at bats this season. There are a few cheaper guys that I like, but none that are even close to Turner so pay up.
Shortstop (SS)
Manny Machado, BAL at TOR - $3,800
While I really like Corey Seager on Wednesday, I simply can't fade Manny Machado at this price, especially when he's facing a LHP. As I noted above with Mancini the Orioles will face LHP Francisco Liriano at the Rogers Centre. This bodes well for Machado as he's crushed LHP to the tune of a .338/.402/.531 triple slash this season. At the Rogers Centre this season Manny has slugged .586 with two HR. All of this adds up to a great value, so don't let it slip through the cracks.
Third Base (3B)
Justin Turner, LAD at SD - $5,100
Justin Turner is really expensive on Wednesday, but he's well worth paying up for as he'll face RHP Luis Perdomo. As I noted above the Dodgers are great against RHP and Turner is one of the main reasons why, as he's slugged .566 with 52 extra base hits against them this season. Over the past week Turner has been on fire NBA Jam style as he hit .500 in his past five games (four starts). Hopefully Justin is so expensive that other owners stay away from him, because I think that he's going to have a yuuuge night.
DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings
Mike Trout, OAK at LAA - $5,700
Mike Trout has been blazin' hot over his past six games as he's slugged .684 with a double, two HR and a SB. Trout has been great all season as he's leading the league in runs scored, walks, OBP and OPS+. When in doubt, start Mike Trout is a pretty good DFS motto. It's even better when there's no doubt, as is the case with his matchup on Wednesday, as Trout has been a much better hitter at home. Sonny Gray will start for the Athletics, but he's unlikely to pitch for much more than an inning, so Trout will get roughly eight frames against the bullpen. I like them apples.
Mookie Betts, BOS at NYY - $5,600
Mookie Betts has been the east coast version of Trout this season as he's combined power and speed with a huge amount of counting numbers that rival Trout's. Mookie has been when of the biggest reasons why the Red Sox have been so good against RHP this season as he's managed to hit 23 HR and steal 23 SB while slugging .546 against RHP this season. Those would be good numbers for most people in an entire season, not just against RHP. Although Mookie are expensive there is lots of cash to spend because of the values and cheap SP. Join me and place your Betts.
Andrew McCutchen, CHC at PIT - $3,900
Similar to Manny Machado I simply cannot pass up this player at this price point. It appears that Andrew has a bad matchup with Jake Arrieta, but he's actually notched a solid .297 AVG and a .395 OBP against Arrieta in 37 at bats. Meanwhile McCutchen has been very good of late as he's managed a .385/.450/.750 triple slash over his last 13 games. Not only will McCutchen be a solid value play, but he'll also be a contrarian option as well.
