A loaded Saturday sees a number of interesting slates on DraftKings. The Angels @ Rays start us off at 1:10 pm, before a number of games, start at 4:05 pm. We then have two games at 6:10 pm before our featured slate begins just after 7 pm. That late slate is an eight-game slate and contains the biggest opportunity for winnings, so that is where our focus will be with this article.
The Twins are the biggest favorite on this slate, with the Royals expected to offer little in the game. There are also relatively big favorites in the Dodgers and Rockies. Total wise there will be no surprise to see double-digits in Colorado, but there is also the potential for plenty of scoring elsewhere on the slate.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/8/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Mike Minor, TEX (@ CIN) - $9,700
Minor is having an absolutely super 2019. He currently has a 2.52 ERA and has really not had any disastrous outings. In his last five outings, his floor has been five innings and five strikeouts, with three earned runs surrendered. That is a solid starting point when you are selecting a pitcher, especially if he has the ceiling to get to double-digit strikeouts and go as deep as eight innings. Additionally, the Reds rank 25th in runs and 23rd in slugging, so the chances they really get after Minor is slim.
Michael Wacha, STL (@ NYM) - $5,500
This selection is all about potential. Wacha is by no means the most exciting pitcher on this slate, but at his price you just need him to be solid. He has been up and down this season, but at times he has produced solid outings, and the Mets hot and cold offense may present another opportunity for a hit. At this price, you only need Wacha to get to 11 points to return two fantasy points per $1k, and if he gets to 16.5 then he has really returned bonus value for you.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - J.T. Realmuto, PHI (@ ATL) - $4,100
It has been a good season for some of the Phillies new arrivals, and Realmuto is one of the standout performers. Overall, he has 10 home runs on the season, but four of those have come in just 69 PA against left-handed pitchers. Additionally, against lefties he has a .313 batting average, .372 wOBA and a .281 ISO.
1B - Dan Vogelbach, SEA (@ OAK) - $4,400
This price is really interesting for Vogelbach, especially given there is a right-handed pitcher on the mound for the Athletics. This season, against righties, he has 15 home runs, a .302 batting average, a .442 wOBA and a .333 ISO.
2B - Ryan McMahon, COL (vs. SD) - $3,900
I have done this article twice this week and both times I have had the opportunity to select Rockies hitters against left-handed pitchers, at home. This price is a ridiculously good value, especially given that McMahon has a .319 batting average, .255 ISO and a .383 wOBA.
3B - Justin Turner, LAD (vs. CHC) - $4,100
It has been a somewhat slow season for Turner in 2019, but his numbers against right-handed pitchers are impressive, but just lacking in power. With righties on the mound, he has a .355 batting average and a .379 wOBA, but just a .121 ISO. However, Yu Darvish is on the mound and he has had some ups and downs this season, so it might be the perfect opportunity for Turner to get his power going.
SS - Jean Segura, PHI (@ ATL) - $4,100
Segura is having a good 2019, but his numbers against left-handed pitchers are really eye-catching. In just 57 PA against lefties, he already has three home runs, with a .314 batting average, .414 wOBA, and a .333 ISO.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Ian Desmond, COL (vs. SD) - $4,300
Desmond offers another good value Rockies hitter, at home, against a left-handed pitcher. Desmond's numbers are promising against lefties, with five home runs in 82 PA, a .293 batting average, a .402 wOBA and a .333 ISO. Additionally, at home, he has a .373 wOBA and a .235 ISO, so all the numbers are right for a big outing against the Padres.
Mark Canha, OAK (vs. SEA) - $4,200
Canha is an interesting case because his batting average is less than desirable, but he has hit 10 home runs in just 140 PA. The Mariners are using a right-handed opener followed by a left-handed pitcher. The good news is that Canha has an ISO over .200 against both lefties and righties, and wOBAs of .344 and .384 against lefties and righties respectively.
Jorge Soler, KC (@ MIN) - $4,000
Soler has wonderful numbers against right-handed pitchers this season. So far in 2019, he has taken righties for 14 home runs, with a .245 batting average, giving him a .293 ISO and a .345 wOBA.
