DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (3/22/17): NBA DFS Advice

It's crazy to think that I have created a lineup consisting of three Philadelphia 76ers, going up against Russell Westbrook. But, it's happening, as the Sixers continue to showcase their young talent with the season winding down.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/22/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Guards

T.J. McConnell – PG, @ OKC ($5,400)

T.J. McConnell is the first piece of a Philadelphia stack against Oklahoma City Wednesday night. McConnell, crazy enough, has more total assists on the season than the likes of Stephen Curry and Isaiah Thomas, and ranks ninth in the league in that category. It's an impressive feat, one that raises an eyebrow, or two, for me in daily fantasy. McConnell is coming off his first double-double since the middle of February and heads into an interesting matchup against the fast paced Thunder. He has proved to be inconsistent this season, but expect the young, blossoming Sixers squad to push the tempo against Westbrook.

Jimmy Butler – SG/SF, vs DET ($8,900)

Since Dwyane Wade was ruled out for the season, Jimmy Butler has been earning his nickname even more. Jimmy Buckets has posted 47-plus fantasy points in four of his last five contests, consisting of scoring totals of 23, 28, 23, and 37. Rajon Rondo moving back into the starting lineup also has a lot to do with this recent scoring streak, as the two look to help Chicago keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Detroit Pistons sit a game in front of them, both of which are on the outside looking in, looking up at the Miami Heat. With the season winding down, expect Butler to continue doing what he does best to help the reeling Bulls.

Gary Harris – SG, vs CLE ($6,300)

It's been quite the fantasy stretch for Gary Harris. With Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler shelved with injuries, Harris has taken advantage of his increased opportunities from the floor. Harris has posted 30-plus fantasy points in five straight, including a 28-point performance in his last contest; good for 42.5 fantasy points. He has shot over 60% from the field four times over his last seven appearances and is an extremely sneaky threat from behind the arc. Harris and the Denver Nuggets head into a matchup against a Cleveland Cavaliers team that has surrendered the fifth most three pointers made in the league.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Gordon Hayward – SF, vs NYK ($7,400)

Because why wouldn't you target the New York Knicks at this point? The Knickerbockers allow 108.7 points per contest (sixth most in the league), and have struggled to defend the small forward position all season. Hayward should have a field day, and is coming off an impressive 38-point showing against the Indiana Pacers. At his price, there should be no reason to fade him tonight. Over the last five games, the Knicks have allowed the third most fantasy points to the three spot. Over the last 10 games, they have allowed the fourth most.

Thaddeus Young – PF, @ BOS ($4,600)

It's been a very tumultuous season for Thaddeus Young. In his first campaign wearing an Indiana Pacers uniform, Young has failed to transfer over his consistent play as a Brooklyn Net, overshadowed by the play of Paul George, underperforming because he simply doesn't fit well with his new squad. But, Thad spreads stats efficiently, and is always a steals threat; a stat that can help boost a daily fantasy stat line when a player is struggling to put the ball in the basket. Young has posted at least one steal in four straight games, and in seven of his last eight games. The Boston Celtics have also been vulnerable against power forwards and have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to the position over the last 10 games.

Dario Saric – PF, @ OKC ($7,600)

Dario Saric is the second piece of a Philadelphia stack Wednesday night, and has been at the center of the Sixers' offense ever since Joel Embiid went down with an injury. Saric has been relatively streaky of late, but still has a high ceiling. He has proven capable of posting fantasy points well into the 40's and 50's, which would exceed projection at his affordable price. Even on nights that he isn't scoring, Saric generously contributes in the rebound and assist categories, and has posted at least one steal in five straight games.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert – C, vs NYK ($7,700)

Rudy Gobert is teaming up with Gordon Hayward for a stack against the New York Knicks Wednesday night. Rightfully so, considering the Knicks have struggled mightily defending the center position this season, and have allowed the fourth most fantasy points per game to the five spot. Over the last five contests, it has gotten even worse for the Knicks, surrendering the third most to the position per contest. This should be easy work for Gobert, who is coming off his third straight double-double, and seventh over his last eight.

Richaun Holmes – C, @ OKC ($6,200)

Richaun Holmes is the final piece to the Philadelphia stack Wednesday night, and has been manning the center position ever since Jahlil Okafor went down with a sore right knee. Okafor is listed as day-to-day, and is questionable to take the court against Oklahoma City. Even if he does play, Holmes is still a solid option at his price considering we don't know how healthy Okafor really is. But if Okafor sits, all systems go for the young big man. Holmes is coming off a monstrous 24 point, 14 rebound double-double, and will be battling against Steven Adams and Enes Kanter (both of whom are solid options tonight, as well).
