DraftKings DFS Guards
Dennis Schroder – PG, @ PHI ($7,700)
Dennis Schroder has been on quite the fantasy tear of late, and heads into a favorable matchup against a Philadelphia 76ers squad playing their second game in as many nights. Jeremy Lin recently scattered a ton of stats against the Sixers Tuesday night, 11 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals, while a much more established, and talented, Schroder should have no trouble doing the same. Schroder is coming off three straight 40-plus fantasy point showings, and is seemingly turning it up at the right time of the season. Plus, he's not as expensive as most of the other one guards.
Monta Ellis – SG, @ MEM ($4,500)
Monta Ellis recently replaced C.J. Miles in Indiana's starting five, and it has paid off for both the team and daily fantasy. Ellis is an affordable option that does just enough to reach projection. Ellis has dropped double-digit scoring totals in three straight, six out of his last seven, and seven out of his last 10 contests. Let's also not forget that Ellis, despite in the latter part of his career, has averaged 20-plus points per game in a season four times and is a career 18.0 points per game scorer. Let's see if he has any magic left in those legs against a tough Memphis Grizzlies squad.
Also consider: Victor Oladipo - SG, @ ORL ($6,000)
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist – SF, @ TOR ($4,800)
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is another daily fantasy option that is capable of doing just enough to reach, and exceed, projection, while freeing up cap space in the process. Kidd-Gilchrist has dropped 20-plus fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games, and continues to see a steady amount of minutes at the three spot. He'll never blow you away with his scoring so its wise to limit the expectations with him.
Harrison Barnes – SF/PF, @ NO ($6,000)
Harrison Barnes has been relatively streaky over his last 10 games, but heads into a favorable matchup against a New Orleans Pelicans team that surrenders the fourth most opponent three pointers made per game. Barnes, not known for his abilities behind the arc, is still a sneaky threat to pull the trigger, and has provided the Dallas Mavericks with a spark often this season. Both teams are all but out of playoff contention, so we can expect a ton of scoring here, and a solid battle between Barnes and either Anthony Davis or DeMarcus Cousins. Barnes has scored 20-plus points in five of his last 10 games, while the Pelicans allow the most rebounds per game in the league.
Also consider: Mindaugas Kuzminskas - SF, vs MIA ($3,700)
DraftKings DFS Centers
Rudy Gobert – C, @ SAC ($8,600)
This is where we start spending some money. Rudy Gobert has been an absolute machine and continues to break out as one of the league's best centers, in the paint and on the boards. Gobert has posted a double-double in nine of his last 10 contests (he was shy one rebound in the game he didn't post one), and keeps emerging as the leader in Utah's locker room. Gobert heads into a matchup with a Sacramento Kings team that he has had much success against this season (when Cousins was still wearing a Kings uniform), and is averaging 16.7 points, 17.3 rebounds, and four blocks in three games. Regardless, he has become matchup proof and impossible to fade.
Hassan Whiteside – C, @ NYK ($8,400)
I'm always a fan of spending up at the center position, especially with what the center position has proved capable of these days. Of course, you won't see a frequency of triple-doubles like at the one spot, but double-doubles are all we can ask for on a consistent basis for DraftKings. Whiteside's double-double streak of 15 in a row was snapped in his last contest against the slumping Detroit Pistons, but was only one rebound shy of making it 16 straight. Whiteside should have no trouble getting back on track against a struggling New York Knicks squad. The big man had much success against the Knickerbockers in their only meeting earlier in the season, dropping 23 points and 14 rebounds over 38 minutes. The Heat sit a game ahead of the Pistons for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Expect them to continue pushing towards clinching.
Also consider: Dwight Howard - C, @ PHI ($7,600)
