DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/26/18): NBA DFS Lineups

Since I have taken over the Monday and Tuesday Draftkings articles, we'll start strong. First off, stacking the Pelicans-Suns game will be your best bet, especially going in on Anthony Davis. The Pelicans are one of three teams on the second night of a back-to-back, the Pistons and Rockets being the others, but Davis is always a more-than-viable option with upside capable of reaching into the 80's or 90's, especially when the matchup is as ripe as this one. The Lakers-Hawks is statistically your best matchup outside of Suns-Pelicans, but both teams hover around young players that rely on hot streaks to carry them each night so be cautious. The theme of tonight will be point guards and most of the teams struggle to contain opposing point guards.

The Pistons will be looking to rebound against the Raptors, but that doesn't mean DeMar DeRozan or Kyle Lowry are going to have any less upside. The superstars to play tonight are Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, James Harden, Blake Griffin and Victor Oladipo. All the Warriors are primed to show off in Madison Square Garden and realistically, any of the them can explode any night, but the Knicks rank in the bottom 10 for multiple defensive categories, one if not two of the core four will score 30.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/26/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. Feel free to stop by the Hoops Chat Room or on Twitter @HalfCourtJester, let's get rolling.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Joseph Young - PG/SG, at DAL ($3,100)

The Mavericks have been horrid when it comes to guarding opposing point guards and Joe Young is capable of lighting it up if he is left open, which should be the case Monday night. He doesn't need that many minutes to produce but he will when given opportunities, especially when there is an inexperienced backcourt across from him. His incredibly low price makes him risky and being a shoot-first point guard makes him mostly point reliant. Even with that, the Pacers and Mavericks will lock horns in a defensive matchup in which Young should get plenty of opportunities to smash through his projected.

Delon Wright - PG/SG, vs DET ($3,900)

To be fair, it's not promising that Delon Wright has only been playing around 20 minutes his last few games. What IS promising is that when he gets extra minutes, his production is directly relative. His athleticism sets him apart in certain matchups and his defensive stats can really benefit his overall game. Since the Pistons are the on the second night of a back-to-back and lacking depth at the guard position, there is a good chance the Raptors could put this game away easily. Even if they don't, Wright will be a matchup problem against the Pistons, being an established rebounder and surprising shot-blocker.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Nemanja Bjelica - SF/PF, at SAC ($4,700)

The people at DraftKings caught on quick after Nemnja Bjelica got 33 minutes the second night of the Wolves' last back-to-back. The price hike is absolutely a result of the Jimmy Butler injury, but it won't change how valuable Bjelica's position is. He is a shooter and semi-playmaker that scrapes at double-digit rebounds. He has the skill-set to be fantasy gold, but he just needs to find some consistency. In situations like this, where he will be given plenty of minutes and is facing a younger team, he has great sleeper potential. His price is a little higher than owners would like, but he still has upside that could reach into the low-mid 30s.

Paul George - SF/PF, vs ORL ($9,000)

Normally, I wouldn't spend much time talking about someone like Paul George, but he had such a poor shooting night, it's worth noting that this game could be used as a stepping stone for George. The Magic only rank in the bottom 10 against one position and you already know here I'm going with this, it's against small forwards. The Thunder got slapped by the Warriors last game and their competitiveness will get the better of them Monday. Paul George will turn that 1-for-14 night into a distant memory. Side note: There should be clashes between Jonathon Simmons and Paul George scattered throughout that you won't want to miss.

If you are looking for more value, take a look at Pascal Siakam, or...

DraftKings DFS Centers

Jakob Poeltl - C, vs DET ($3,700)

The Pistons frontcourt isn't necessarily the best defense to pick on strictly based off personnel, but they do rank among the worst in the league when it comes defending opposing power forwards and centers. The Raptors don't have the most talented frontcourt, but they are disciplined and thrive off hustle stats and easy buckets. Players like Serge Ibaka, Jakob Poeltl, and Pascal Siakam have all made a fantasy living off of being in the right place at the right time within Dwight Casey's offense. Poeltl has been all over the place when it comes to his production, but when he is in the game he makes an impact. He gets his stats against any team and that won't change Monday night.
