Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. We have a nine-game slate to attack tonight, and it will be fun. There are two games with totals of 10 or higher, one of which is COL/TEX, which we will look to game stack again. We also have Andrew Heaney and Chris Archer facing off in what has the potential to be an offensive explosion as well. There is also plenty of value if you want to spend up on some of the high-power teams like the Jays, Yankees, and Braves.
There are bats to target everywhere when it comes to tonight's slate. On the flip side, pitching is not significant once again. We have one clear ace in Yu Darvish versus the Giants, which should be a substantial spot. Then there is a group of young studs in Sandoval and Luzardo. If you want to be a bit different, check those boxes, Eric Lauer and Alex Cobb. There are still a few spot starters yet to be announced, and in St. Louis, we have Dakota Hudson starting with Jordan Hicks following. So many ways to build lineups on tonight's slate.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Fanduel and DraftKings on 4/12/2022. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Patrick Sandoval - P, LAA vs. MIA ($7,900 DK, $8,400 FD)
The Irish Panda, Patrick Sandoval, makes his first start of the season in a juicy matchup versus the Marlins. A Marlins team has scuffled out the gate versus their first four games. Sandoval made two appearances in spring and threw 7.2 innings but allowed five runs while striking out nine. It was a mixed bag for Sandoval, but that is what we have come to expect from Sandoval. Last season, Sandoval had a 26% strikeout rate, which translates phenomenally in DFS scoring. He will take on a Marlins team striking out nearly 44% of the time versus LHP with a .057 ISO in a tiny sample. Sandoval may be risky in cash, but he makes for a great GPP target.
Alex Cobb - P, SF vs. SD ($7,000 DK, $7,600 FD)
Cobb is one of my favorite pitching targets tonight. He pitched 7.1 innings during spring training, allowing one run, and striking out nine. Last season, while healthy, Cobb was excellent, striking out nearly 25% of the batters he faced. Between last season's success and the increased velocity in spring, Cobb appears to be in line for a great season. He faces a Padres team striking out nearly 20% of the time versus an RHP with an ISO of .075. I will be rostering a lot of Cobb tonight, and you should too.
Other options: Yu Darvish at SF ($10,100 DK, $9,700 FD), Eric Lauer at BAL ($9,100 DK, $7,200 FD), Jesus Luzards at LAA ($7,300 DK, $7,100 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
C.J. Cron - 1B, COL at Martin Perez ($4,300 DK, $3,400 FD)
Cron is having a great start to the season as he is hitting .353 with two home runs and a .471 ISO. He is also 3-3 versus LHP this season with a home run, which aligns with career success versus LHP. Last season Cron hit .311 versus LHP with a .273 ISO and .977 OPS. He will face Perez, who struggled mightily versus RHH the previous season, allowing them to hit .308 with a .374 wOBA and nearly 2 HR/9. We are looking to stack the Rockies tonight, and Cron will be a significant part of the stack.
Brad Miller - 1B/3B/OF, TEX vs. Chad Kuhl ($3,400 DK, $2,700 FD)
Miller is having a great start to the 2022 season with a .333 average. He has four hits, three of which are extra-base hits, two being home runs. Even better for DFS purposes, Miller has hit leadoff for the Rangers versus RHP. Last season Miller had a .244 ISO with a .842 OPS versus RHP. Kuhl will be making his first start for the Rockies and will have his work cut out for him versus this pesky Rangers lineup. Enjoy the savings and leadoff role for Miller in your DFS lineups.
Bobby Witt Jr. - 3B/SS, KC at Dakota Hudson ($2,300 DK, $2,500 FD)
Many will be disappointed or hesitant with Witt in their lineups as he only has two hits this season, both doubles, but in terms of DFS, he has been quite productive at his cheap price. Witt is still filling the box score with a stolen base, three runs, three RBI, and a walk. He gets another nice matchup on Tuesday versus Hudson, and at his price point, he should not be ignored by batting second. Witt is cash game viable and has a nice GPP discount as well.
Gio Urshela- 3B, MIN vs. Andrew Heaney ($3,400 DK, $2,900)
On Tuesday, the Twins will be a great stack, and Urshela is an excellent value in a rather pricey stack. He has been hitting cleanup for the Twins, which is already an excellent DFS value, but he is producing in a big way with an average of double-digit fantasy points over the three games. He is hitting .333 on the season, with a home run and a .484 wOBA. He will be facing the lefty Heaney, and last season Urshela hit .293 versus LHP with a .173 ISO and .783 OPS. Look for the Twins bats to stay hot and Urshela to be a nice piece in those stacks.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Connor Joe- 1B/OF, COL at Martin Perez ($3,100 DK, $2,800 FD)
Joe has started all four games for the Rockies and has even hit leadoff in back-to-back games as the team's DH. He is hitting .313 with two home runs as he continues to produce given a chance, just as he did last season. Last season he mashed LHP hitting .306 with a .245 ISO and .941 OPS. We already know Perez has been hit hard by RHH, and Joe should continue that success tonight. If he is leading off, he is a lock, and if he isn't, he still makes a great value in the Rockies' stack.
Byron Buxton - OF, MIN vs. Andrew Heaney ($5,900 DK, $3,900)
Buxton may be the hottest hitter in baseball this season. After Monday, he is hitting .333 with three home runs (he just missed his 4th last night). He even has a stolen base, five runs scored, and four RBI. Last season, Buxton mashed LHP hitting .325 with a .300 ISO and .997 OPS. So he will fave Heaney, who called 2.2 HR/9 the previous season and over his career has been dishing out home runs like Oprah does free cars. Buxton is my top play tonight and should be in all lineups.
Nelson Cruz- OF, WAS at Tucker Davidson ($4,100 DK, $3,100 FD)
WOAH NELLLLLIE!!!!! We get Cruz versus a lefty (for now, as Davidson may not be the starter). In years past, Cruz was an auto-lock versus LHP, and we will take his discount versus a potential lefty tonight. Last season Cruz hit .316 versus LHP with a .222 ISO and .913 OPS. If Davidson does not pitch, we can reevaluate this play, but for now, we will look to lock in the value with Cruz versus an LHP.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
GAME STACK: Colorado Rockies at Texas Rangers (Chad Kuhl, RHP vs. Martin Perez, LHP)
The Rockies and Rangers have the highest total on the slate at 10.5, and they are coming off a game Monday that did not disappoint. Both teams are throwing pitchers that have the potential to get shelled so that we will attack. I will look to stack the Rockies first with Joe, Cron, Kris Bryant, and others like Elias Diaz and Randal Grichuk for differentiation. On the Rangers, side enjoys the savings with Miller, Willie Calhoun, and maybe Nathaniel Lowe while stacking the pricier Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. Big night of offense in Arlington tonight.
Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Andrew Heaney, LHP)
As much as I love the COL/TEX game stack, the Twins are my favorite stack. Buxton is a lock and looks to pair with the red hot Jorge Polanco and Gio Urshela. If looking to go all-in, then Carlos Correa and some super GPP action with Gary Sanchez come into play. A game stack is definitely in play with the Dodgers versus Chris Archer, so go big if you'd like.
Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves (Tucker Davidson, LHP)
Davidson may not be starting, but it could be a bullpen game for the Braves, meaning the hot Nats' bats are in play. Cruz, Juan Soto, and Josh Bell are always excellent but do not forget the hot bats of Maikel Franco and Lane Thomas when making a larger stack.
