EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Leicester vs Fulham
Leicester (-185) host Fulham on Monday as our slate's largest favorite. As I write this they are currently a top four team, and they have a prime matchup against a lowly Fulham team. Leicester should control this game comfortably. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
West Ham vs Aston Villa
After starting the season white-hot, Aston Villa have now lost three of their last four. West Ham - on the other hand - have four wins and only one loss in their last seven league games. West Ham (+125) is favored at home, but this should be a game with chances and good fantasy plays on both ends. The goal total over/under is a touch higher than the early game at 3.0.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Jamie Vardy ($23) will be at the top of many lineups on Monday. He is Leicester's most valuable attacker with eight goals in eight games. He has the best anytime scoring odds on Monday at -160 as he takes on a weak Fulham defense that are allowing 2.0 goals per game right now.
James Maddison ($18) has been disappointing this season, but he has created 3.0 chances per game in his last two games. This is a great matchup for him if you're up to paying the price. I would guess many people will fade Maddison in this plus matchup, so you can get him at low ownership.
Youri Tielemans ($14) and Harvey Barnes ($13) are both strong plays to pair with Vardy in a Leicester stack. Barnes is +200 and Tielemans is +275 to score against this leaky Fulham defense. Barnes has 12 shots on goal this year compared to eight from Tielemans, which gives him the edge.
It remains to be seen whether or not Michail Antonio ($20) will start in his return from injury. If he does, this is a solid matchup for him against a Villa defense allowing 1.4 goals per game. Antonio had three goals in six games before his injury that kept him out a full month. Perhaps, he will come off the bench and Sebastian Haller ($17) will get the start. Haller scored a goal on his way to a 35.3 fantasy point game last weekend against Sheffield. This is a good place for him to continue a goal streak at a good price.
Jack Grealish ($19) is a world-class attacker who is viable on most slates. He can get all kinds of stats from goals to tackles. This should be a back-and-forth game where Grealish can collect all kinds of peripherals. He has good goal odds too and is a decent discount off Ollie Watkins ($21) whose fantasy value essentially only comes from goals.
Conor Hourihane ($14) is the final name I would like to mention here. With Ross Barkley ($15) on the shelf for a while, Hourihane will come back into the starting lineup. He is a low-owned way to get some exposure to this game that should be full of action.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
With the value plays lacking at the attacking position, it is going to be important to find some here.
Christian Fuchs ($9) has made four straight starts for Leicester now with some injuries on their backline. He has averaged 14.2 fantasy points in those games. With a handful of defensive stats - and a likely clean sheet bonus - Fuchs should be right up in the mid-teen range again on Monday. He's one of the best value plays of the slate. Teammate Luke Thomas ($10) is also a strong value play on Monday. He only needs a handful of defensive stats and a clean sheet to have a good performance.
Aaron Cresswell ($15) is my favorite defender to pay up for on Monday. He is the best attacking defender on the slate, and he has a good matchup at home against Aston Villa. Cresswell is averaging 2.0 chances created per game, and he has created four chances in three different games. Cresswell always comes with some assist upside because of his ability to create chances. Vladimir Coufal ($13) has some good attacking ability for West Ham as well. He is a nice discount over Cresswell.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Kasper Schmeichel ($13) is a good play on this slate. He is the most likely GK to get the win bonus, and he is facing a very low-scoring Fulham attack who are only averaging 1.0 goals per game. He likely will not be needed to make many saves, but he should come away with both the win bonus and the clean sheet bonus in this one.
Lukasz Fabianski ($11) is another good GK play on Monday. His West Ham defense has been much stronger this year only allowing 1.1 goals per game this year. His opponent, Aston Villa, are a good attacking team, though. I still think he has a good floor here with a possible win bonus as well as save points. He can have a really big fantasy performance if West Ham's defense is up to the task against Villa on Monday.
