EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Leicester vs Newcastle
Leicester (-130) are the largest favorite on the slate at home against a poor Newcastle squad. They got their first win of the season last weekend against Burnley in what was actually a very thrilling game. Leicester have not been particularly good this season either, but they are undeniably a better team that Newcastle. Newcastle's defense has been one of the worst this year, so Leicester attackers will definitely be popular in fantasy. The goal total over/under is a slate-high 3.0.
Burnley vs West Ham
The other early game on the slate has Burnley hosting West Ham (+100). West Ham have climbed back up into the top four for now and should be in charge of this game against a weaker Burnley side. Burnley have been solid defensively at Turf Moor this year, so I don't feel the need to go too high on West Ham attackers in this game. The goal total over/under is 2.5, 3.
Crystal Palace vs Everton
Just two points separate Crystal Palace (+130) and Everton on the table. Neither team have been playing well lately with three losses, a draw, and a win in their last five league games. The draw looks relatively likely at +205 in this game. This game has the lowest goal total over/under on the slate at just 2, 2.5 with the under at -122.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Jamie Vardy ($21) has the best anytime scoring odds on the slate at -115. He has a great matchup at home against a Newcastle defense that is allowing 2.0 goals per game. Vardy has cooled off slightly lately, but he still has nine goals to his name this year. He's in a great spot to take that tally to double digits on Sunday. He's one of the best plays on the slate.
I'm pretty high on getting multiple Leicester attackers on this slate with their matchup. Youri Tielemans ($19) is next on my list after Vardy. He's averaging 25.6 fantasy points over his last six league games, and he has a nice shot at getting to that average - or more - in this game. Harvey Barnes ($14) can be a nice third attacker if you're considering a full Leicester stack, or he can be used as a second guy who will save you some money over Tielemans.
Conor Gallagher ($17) is another one of my priority plays on the slate. He has a nice matchup at home against an Everton defense that cannot be trusted. Gallagher comes with a nice mix of goal upside and peripherals that give him a stable floor. Wilfred Zaha ($14) is crazy underpriced for no reason on this slate. He's an elite way to save some money while getting a player with good goal upside in a nice matchup.
Jonjo Shelvey ($12) looked really good in the midfield against Burnley last weekend. He takes on a Leicester defense that just has not been good this year. He's fairly priced and can get some decent peripherals to make him worth the money.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
I don't believe any of these expensive defenders are worth the money in their matchups on Sunday. Vladimir Coufal ($10) is one of the defenders that I'll be targeting, though. He has had a little more attacking upside lately which is nice too see, and he's still very affordable. He has a nice matchup on this slate since West Ham should control a lot of the possession against Burnley. Burnley also allows a ton of clearances which will help boost his floor. Aaron Cresswell ($10) is another good play for the same price in the same matchup.
Joel Ward ($6) is way too cheap and is a nice value play on this slate to help you pay up for more attackers.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Nick Pope ($7) is pretty cheap for how well Burnley's defense plays at home. They've given up just eight goals in six home games. They host a West Ham team that is not a prolific scoring team. The unfortunate part here is that Pope's ceiling is limited because he likely won't get a win bonus. However, if he can keep a clean sheet and get some saves, he'll be a nice value play for $7.
Kasper Schmeichel ($11) is my favorite GK on this slate. He should be getting the win bonus on this slate, and he's facing a Newcastle team that cannot score on the road. They have just five goals in seven games.
Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
