Welcome back, RotoBallers! Another weekend full of fun EPL soccer bleeds into Monday with one final game before UCL/UEL take out attention for the remainder of the week. I will be breaking down that game in full for you here. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Friday's slate.
The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Everton vs Arsenal
Everton are coming off a 4-1 beatdown in the Merseyside Derby by Liverpool who handed them their third consecutive loss. They have now lost six of their last seven, and haven't won a Premier League game since the end of September. Arsenal (+105) took a tough 3-2 loss to Manchester United on Thursday and are favored by half a goal on the road here. Arsenal is the better team, and they're in better form. I'm still not sure if they're good enough to require a 4/1 stack in this game, but we will get more into that below. The goal total over/under is 2.5 with the under at -122.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Everton's defense was decent at times last year, but this year is a vastly different story. They are allowing 1.71 goals per game this season, and that number jumps up to 2.5 goals allowed in their last six league games. Emile Smith-Rowe ($14) has been really good for Arsenal lately. He scored a fluky goal against Manchester United in his last game to give him four goals in his last six EPL appearances. He has the second-best scoring odds in this game behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($15). I'm strongly recommending one of them for the captain spot on FanDuel Monday. They are an expensive pairing, but getting them both in the same lineup can be a move that would pay off if Everton gives up another big game.
Arsenal's defense has also been weaker compared to last season. They're allowing 2.0 goals per game on the road right now making Andros Townsend ($12) one of my favorite Everton plays. He has been getting a nice mix of goals and peripheral stats so far this year. Demarai Gray ($8) is a nice cheaper play for Everton as well.
If Martin Odegaard ($7) can get back into the starting lineup for Arsenal Monday, he would be a top-tier value play especially after his last game. If not, Albert Sambi Lokonga ($5) is the value attacker to save some money on this slate.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Neither team gives up many defensive stats, but the first defender on my list for Monday is relevant mostly for his attacking upside. Lucas Digne ($8) is pretty-fairly priced for his attacking upside and defensive stats. He always plays better in home matchups which he has on this slate. He's averaging over 15 fantasy points per game at home and should be right around that average on this slate.
Seamus Coleman ($5) is underpriced on this slate. It's not the greatest matchup, but he should not be the cheapest expected starter on the slate. He's a great way to free up some money to prioritize more attackers.
Ben White ($7) is the final defender in my player pool on this slate.
