EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Arsenal vs Everton
Both of these teams are likely headed towards a middle-of-the-table finish this year, although hopeful Everton fans will probably tell you they have an outside chance at the Europa League spot. That would have to start with a win here on the road against Arsenal (+100). Everton are not in good form right now with three straight league draws and two losses before that. Their last EPL win was 1-0 against West Brom on March 4. Arsenal are in slightly better form but still not impressive by any means. It should be a fairly even game. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Arsenal will be without their two top scorers on this slate, so it will be interesting to see how they adjust. Eddie Nketiah ($13) will likely lead Arsenal's attacking group up top. He has hardly been playing, but he did score in Arsenal's last game on Sunday as a substitute. Everton allow slightly more SOG/90 and chances created per game compared to Arsenal, plus they're at home. Nketiah has the best anytime scoring odds at +160, and he has generally been productive in his time on the field.
James Rodriguez ($12) is my favorite Everton play and one of my top captain options as well. He's done well in three games since his return from injury averaging 21.3 fantasy points per game. The way he can get both SOGs and chances created is valuable especially in a game like this that has the potential to be low-scoring.
Richarlison ($14) is the other Everton attacker I am looking at especially with his goal upside at+220 (which is still relatively high for this specific game). He is in a little goal drought here, but he is at least taking shots and getting other stats that count.
There are some solid Arsenal options on the lower end of the price range on this slate. Bukayo Saka ($9) has cooled off from his good run back in the winter. However, he is very affordable in this game and has upside in this matchup.
Emile Smith-Rowe ($8) and Dani Ceballos ($7) are two other cheaper Arsenal attackers I'm willing to take a chance with in this game.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Everton and Arsenal give up three out of the four defensive peripherals are very similar rates. However, Arsenal definitely give up more clearances. That should bode well for Ben Godfrey ($7) who gets a good number of clearances in addition to his other stats. He is also cheap-ish and playing well right now with two straight 18+ point games.
All three of the expected Arsenal defenders that are listed as such on FanDuel are in pretty poor form, and this is not a great matchup. However, Hector Bellerin ($5) is firmly in my player pool at that price. He's so cheap because he missed some time recently and returned with a poor 5.2 point game against Fulham. I expect him to be better this time out, and we can definitely use his cheap price tag to prioritize attackers.
