Welcome back, RotoBallers! Matchday 35 comes to an end with the final game on Monday. It's just a typical Monday single-game slate, but it will start another week of several single-game slates. I will be breaking down that game in full for you here. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Monday's slate.
The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! There was some great conversation over the four UCL slates we had this week, and the Premium Slack chat is as full as ever!
In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/10/21 for the slate that locks at 3:00 pm ET. EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Fulham vs Burnley
If Fulham (+120) want any shot at pulling off a miracle and saving their season, it will require a win here at home against Burnley. Burnley are nine points up on Fulham for 17th, but Fulham can pull to within six with a win on Monday. Both of these teams have not scored much this year, and they also both defend better than you would expect. The goal total over/under is still 2.5, however.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Ademola Lookman ($13) is one of my favorite places to start a lineup on Monday. Fulham are desperate for a good result at home in this game, and they face a Burnley team that has not been very good away from home. They allow 1.59 goals per game in away games which is significantly more than they allow at Turf Moor. Burnley also give up more shots on goal and chances than Fulham, which is why I'm targeting someone like Lookman in my captain spot. Lookman also has solid +250 anytime scoring odds.
Chris Wood ($15) is white-hot right now with four goals in his last two games. Generally speaking, Burnley has not been able to score much on the road this year, but you can't ignore his hot hand currently. His +160 anytime scoring odds are the best on the slate out of expected starters.
Ashley Westwood ($8) is another strong play for his price. His upside is better than most in this price range.
I like Mario Lemina ($6) a lot at this price tag on Monday. He's a good way to get some exposure to an additional attacker for Fulham. Plus, he's been getting a good number of defensive stats recently.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
This shoud be an awesome matchup for Fulham defenders to feast on clearances on Monday. Fulham defenders have gotten the most clearances in the league so far this season, and Burnley give up clearances at the second-highest rate.
Both Joachim Andersen ($10) and Tosin Adarabioyo ($8) have accumulated over 200 clearances this season. Andersen gets slightly more per game at 7.65/game compared to Adarabioyo's 7.48/game. Andersen also get more tackles and interceptions per game. In an ideal world, he's the Fulham defender to target first. However, if you need the save th $2, Adarabioyo is still a good play.
Charlie Taylor ($5) has been better than his price tag all season, but FanDuel won't raise his price. If you want to punt at DEF to get more attackers, Taylor is your guy.
