EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Manchester United vs Liverpool
This will be the marquee matchup of the day. Liverpool (+150) are favored as they travel to take on Manchester United. United have been the better team this season, but Liverpool need a win more right now. They sit in 6th place - one point behind WHU and four points behind CHE - for a European spot. Manchester United are coming off a great 6-2 win over Roma on Thursday. Liverpool's away struggled have been well documented this season, and United definitely won't be making it easy for them. The goal total over/under is a solid 2.5, but both teams allow many peripherals, so this will be a popular game to target.
Tottenham vs Sheffield
Tottenham (-345) are by far the biggest favorites on the slate - as they should be at home against an awful Sheffield team. Tottenham have no excuse to not absolutely roll the Blades here at home. A win would also help them inch closer to a potential European football spot for next season. The goal total over/under in this game is also 2.5 with the over at -140.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Tottenham attackers have an elite matchup on this slate. Harry Kane ($23) might be the most expensive player on the slate by a whole $2, but he deserves it. Sheffield have been downright awful all year, and Tottenham are massive favorites at home. Kane has seven goals in his last six league games, and he has slate-high anytime scoring odds at -230. Those odds are about as good as we've seen from any player all season. He has two goals in three games within the last two months, and he has that kind of upside here.
Tottenham have a decent shot at 2-3 goals in this game, so Son Heung-Min ($20) is also high on my list of attackers with this same prime matchup. Pairing the two together is a viable strategy too because of how good this matchup is. If you can't quite get Kane and Son together but want more Tottenham exposure, Gareth Bale ($16) is a good play for a little cheaper. He's coming off a goal and a 41.8 fantasy point performance against Southampton. If you didn't get the message already, this is an ideal matchup for Tottenham attackers Sunday.
The rest of my preferred attacker plays will come from the Liverpool/Manchester United game. It's unfortunate that the two players I like the most also happen to be very expensive and difficult to pair with Kane/Son. I like Bruno Fernandes ($21) to break out of his EPL "slump" coming off a very productive game against Roma on Thursday. Liverpool have been very average on the road this year, and Fernandes is always up for a big match. The other player I like here is Mo Salah ($21). Liverpool need to keep getting positive results if they want a chance at UCL next season. Salah has the tendency to appear in big games like this, and I like his goal upside.
The value attackers are very poor on this slate. Thiago ($11) and Fabinho ($9) are really the only two I am looking at, but Paul Pogba ($14) sparks my interest some if you have the money.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Both Liverpool and Manchester United force a ton of defensive action from opposing teams. I'll be loading up on defenders from this game. Aaron Wan-Bissaka ($14) has not appeared in many of my articles this year, but he's in a spot you can't ignore on Sunday. He should rack up tons of defensive stats against Liverpool in this game, and he always has some upside with a few chances created possible.
Trent Alexander-Arnold ($15) has been playing well, but rostering him in a tough road game always makes me nervous. If you're looking for an attacking wingback, I'd prefer to save some money and go with Andrew Robertson ($12) who still has attacking upside and has a strong floor with peripherals against United. Ozan Kabak ($11) should feast off defensive peripherals in this game environment.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Hugo Lloris ($13) is today's Edouard Mendy. He looks close to a lock to get both bonuses against a Sheffield team that has already been relegated.
Alisson ($9) is pretty decently priced here for a GK on a favored team. He will see plenty of shots which gives him a decent floor with save points. He also has potential for one - if not both - bonuses if things go Liverpool's way here.
Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
