All Captain options are safe plays and belong in FLEX if you can't fit them as captain.
Nathan Rourke - Ohio - DK $10,600, FD $16,000
Nathan Rourke will be the captain in 100% of my lineups tonight. As a passer, he’s averaging 220 yards per game and nearly two touchdowns. On the ground, he averages 67 yards per game and has eight scores in eight games. You’re getting both the Bobcats QB and RB when rostering Rourke. Ohio is a seven-point favorite and Rourke a lock in my opinion. Miami-Ohio is an average at best defense and they’re worse against the pass than the run.
FanDuel, DraftKings DFS Safe Plays
De'Montre Tuggle - Ohio - DK $9,400, FD $12,000
Both De’Montre Tuggle and O’Shaan Allison are going to see carries. Tuggle has been starting over the last couple of games and I prefer him over Allison. He can also catch the ball with a reception in every game so far. Tuggle is affordable on both sites and you usually don’t want to fade the favored running back on showdown slates.
Brett Gabbert - Miami-Ohio - DK $7,600, FD $13,000
If Miami-Ohio is going to be playing from behind, you will want Brett Gabbert on your squad. He has a low floor, but Ohio doesn’t have a good pass defense and 200 yards is relatively safe. Gabbert isn’t worth a captain spot, but is likely a safe 12-17 fantasy points.
Jaylon Bester - Miami-Ohio - DK $7,000, FD $12,500
Bester has five touchdowns through four games and is getting a ton of volume in this offense. Bester is a safe play on this slate as he should get 50+ yards and a score as a floor. If he scores twice, you won’t have a shot at winning without him.
Isiah Cox - Ohio - DK $6,600, FD $10,000
Cox has nine receptions in the last two games and has seen five red-zone targets. Cox is easily the best receiver Ohio has and he’s a true TD threat. Cox isn’t a must if you think a different receiver gets the love, but he will be in the majority of my lineups.
DraftKings DFS Contrarian Plays
O'Shaan Allison - Ohio - DK $8,400, FD $10,000
Allison is definitely going to get some carries and I think you can pair him with Tuggle in cash games. You can fade Tuggle and go with Allison instead in tournaments as he could very well be the RB that breaks a couple of scores loose. Allison is the leading rusher for Ohio, so he is very capable.
Shane Hooks - Ohio - DK $6,000, FD $11,000
Hooks is a bit up and down for Hooks, and this is definitely a match-up he can have success in. He was a highly touted high school prospect and has shown flashes of brilliance. In tournaments, make sure you get some exposure to Shane Hooks.
