FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Max Scherzer, WAS vs MIA ($11,800)
It feels too easy recommending Scherzer here, but he's far and away the best starting pitcher option today. While his ERA is a bit higher than usual, Scherzer has still been his dominant self, with a 32.4% K-rate and a 2.35 FIP. He faces a Marlins lineup that is dead last in wOBA versus righties at just .273. Scherzer is going to be a chalky play, particularly in cash games, but he's the best pitcher in baseball going against the worst lineup in the league. How can you not play him?
Clayton Kershaw, LAD vs NYM ($10,000)
Kershaw is having an awesome season, with a 3.33 ERA and a 3.35 Deserved Run Average to back it up. Additionally, six out of his seven outings this year have been quality starts. Kershaw has lots of strikeout upside in this matchup against the Mets, who have a 27.2% K-rate against left-handed pitching, which is third-highest in the league. Kershaw is at home in pitcher-friendly Dodger Stadium and should excel once again tonight. If you're on the late slate, he's the guy to go with.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Joey Votto, CIN vs PIT ($2,900)
Votto is having a poor season, but today is a nice buying opportunity as he faces Pirates starter Nick Kingham. Kingham has an atrocious 8.76 ERA, so the Reds are an attractive stack option against him. Votto will be batting second against Kingham, and you can get him for quite cheap. Consider pairing him with teammates such as Eugenio Suarez, Yasiel Puig, and Nick Senzel.
Michael Chavis, BOS vs CLE ($3,800)
Chavis has put together an incredible start to his rookie campaign, with 10 homers in just 32 games and an impressive .270/.364/.533 line. Chavis can take advantage of a weak opposing pitcher in Jefry Rodriguez, who has just a 15.2% K-rate with a 4.75 FIP. In an extreme hitter's park at home, Chavis and the Red Sox lineup should do some damage today.
Manny Machado, SDP at NYY ($3,600)
Over the offseason, Yankees fans envisioned Machado playing in Yankee Stadium, but I don't think they expected him to do it as a member of the Padres. Machado has been turning things around lately, batting .326 with an .891 OPS over the last 15 days. His power will play well in Yankee Stadium.
Gleyber Torres, NYY vs SDP ($3,600)
Torres has been better against left-handed pitching thus far in his major league career, with a career 127 wRC+ versus southpaws. Torres faces off against Matt Strahm, who will likely regress from his 3.06 ERA according to his 4.33 SIERA. In a hitter's environment at home, Torres can thrive.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Jarrod Dyson, ARI at COL ($3,300)
Dyson is the Diamondbacks leadoff hitter against right-handed pitchers, which gives him a ton of value as the DBacks enter Coors Field. Coors is the best park in the league for offense, so Dyson will have the opportunity to score runs and produce well atop the lineup. Dyson also has the third-most steals in the league at 12, so he can score you points on the basepaths as well.
Ryan Braun, MIL at MIN ($3,000)
The Brewers will get to take advantage of the designated hitter in an American League park, so Braun will be a lock for Milwaukee's lineup. As the three-hitter, Braun will see plenty of chances for both runs and RBI against Michael Pineda, owner of a 5.43 ERA. Braun has a 1.008 OPS over the last month and is seriously undervalued at this price.
