In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/28/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Rich Hill, LAD vs. NYM ($8,800)
Will Rich Hill ever age? He's now 39 years old and the same pitcher he's been for years. After five starts, he's gone 27 innings and has struck out 31. He's never going to go deep into a game, but will always go five plus innings and the win is typically safe. The Dodgers are -190 favorites at home against the Mets, who strikeout the 3rd most in baseball against lefties at 27.2%. Dodgers Stadium is a terrible park to hit in and Hill has posted a .287 combined wOBA at home since 2017. The Mets are far worse against left-handers and Hill is a tough pitcher to hit in every aspect. One of the best curveballs in baseball combined with a awkward motion makes it tough on any hitter. He's affordable on FD and safe in every format.
Jeff Samardzija, SFG vs. MIA ($6,600)
It's never exciting to roster Jeff Samardzija in 2019, but we're looking to pay down with a 12 1/2 total in Coors Field If you want to fit some of these bats, you won't be able to pay up for pitching. I don't think you need to, anyway. Rich Hill is already pretty cheap and Samardzija is only $6.6k. He's at home in the spacious AT&T Park and facing off with the worst lineup in baseball. The Marlins sport a measly .266 wOBA against right-handers and strikeout 27% of the time. This is an expansion quality team. Vegas has the game at a 7.5 total with the Giants slight favorites. You're not looking for a huge game out of Samardzija, but five or six innings and a win is a great deal for the price.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
We're looking at a 12 1/2 total in Coors Field. The Diamondbacks and Rockies are all in play.
C/1B - Kevin Cron, ARI @ COL ($2,800)
I could highlight this Coors Field game at every position, but I'll instead just point out this huge mispricing on Kevin Cron. He may be starting for Christian Walker tonight and if so, is close to a must play. He has a ridiculous 21 home runs already in AAA and is expected to tear up the Majors. A 16% K-rate and 13% BB-rate in the minors are certainly intriguing, and he'll be one of the best low-priced hitters in baseball if he keeps it up. As for tonight, he's just $2,800 and facing a pitcher in Antonio Senzatela that has been terrible. The D-Backs are going to put up at least four or five runs and Cron will be involved if starting.
2B - Jack Mayfield, HOU vs. CHC ($2,000)
Yes, there are better options for a higher price. With that said, we’re going to have to pay down in a few spots. Jack Mayfield May have taken the slow road to the Majors, but he is a talented bat and he’s going to put up fantasy points in this lineup. He already has 10 home runs on the season in AAA and is minimum price at one of the weakest positions. Jon Lester is an average lefty at this point and Vegas expects them to put up nearly five runs. Mayfield is way too cheap at 2B.
SS - Gleyber Torres, NYY vs. SDP ($3,700)
The Yankees hold a 5+ run total and face off with a porous lefty in Eric Lauer. His 4.48 xFIP and HR problems head into Yankee Stadium and face off with a Yankees lineup that mashes southpaws. Gleyber Torres is on a tear and now sits at 13 home runs in under 200 at-bats. He's being leaned on with the injuries to Stanton and Judge and has come through consistently. Lauer isn't a gas can, but he's worse on the road and will have trouble lasting five innings here. Torres has seen his price come down a bit and he's the top play at SS outside of Coors Field.
3B - Marwin Gonzalez, MIN vs. MIL ($3,300)
There are a ton of plays at third base. Nolan Arenado is obviously the top option, but he’s super expensive. If you can’t afford him, Marwin Gonzalez is expected to hit third for the Twins against Zach Davies. Davies is walking six batters per nine innings and how holds a 6.88 xFIP to left-handed hitting. He’s only $3,300 on FanDuel and has as much upside as anyone against a righty. The Twins are expected to put up 5.54 runs, so don’t shy away from the neutral ballpark.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
We're looking at a 12 1/2 total in Coors Field. The Diamondbacks and Rockies are all in play.
J.D. Martinez,BOS vs. CLE ($4,200)
Martinez blasted two home runs in last nights game and it may be time to buckle up before the numbers go off. Martinez has always been a streaky bat and he’s swinging his best bat of the season. He now runs into Zach Plesac, who’ll be making his major-league debut for the Indians. He’s not a terrible pitcher, but isn’t ready for the Majors yet and has outperformed his own skill in the minors. The Sox are projected to put up well over five runs and you have to think Martinez gets involved plenty. Benintendi and Betts are in play here as well in the same outfield.
Max Kepler,MIN vs. MIL ($3,800)
Kepler and Rosario are both in play here. Kepler is a bit cheaper on FD, so we’ll lean him. They’ve both held .380+ wOBA’s against right-handed pitching and are backed up by any peripheral you can find. Kepler is up to 12 home runs on the season and has certainly turned the corner as an lite hitter. Zach Davies has held a 6.88 xFIP to lefties on the season and is just waiting to implode. The Twins are a gauntlet of an offense and I don’t think he has a very fun time.
Raimel Tapia,COL vs. ARI ($3,000)
We’ve ignored the Rockies up to this point, but I figured I’d knock them all out in the outfield with a value play. The entire order is in play and I’ll be doing my best to fit four Rockies in every lineup. Merrill Kelly is a poor pitcher in the first place and now moves into Coors Field. Tapia is no power bat, but he hits for average and will be leading off. He’s an obvious play in cash games and hard to ignore anywhere.
