FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Carlos Carrasco - CLE vs. DET ($9,300)
Carrasco has been terrific on the year with a 2-2 record and 3.71 ERA in 26.2 innings pitched. He has struck out 35 batters in that time frame. The only knock on him would be Carrasco is walking too many batters. The 14 walks inflate his WHIP to 1.35, but he gets some relief as he faces the Tigers. Over the last seven days, Detroit has a 60 wRC+ and is striking out 28% of the time, while only walking 5.8% of the time. It should be a perfect matchup for Carrasco to continue putting up big point totals.
Corbin Burnes - MIL @ PIT ($7,300)
Corbin Burnes is still looking for his first win on the season, although he has pitched well in them. The struggle has been the lack of innings pitched in his five starts. He has only gone past the fifth inning in two of the games started, but that has not stopped him from piling up the strikeouts. Burnes has 29 strikeouts in only 21 innings pitched on the season. He faces off against a Pirates team with a 57 wRC+ and .051 ISO against right-hand pitchers in the last seven games. It could be the day Burnes grabs that first win and a big point total.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Jose Abreu - 1B, CWS @ CHC ($3,400)
Abreu is just too hot to keep out of any lineup, regardless of the fact he faces one of the aces on the slate. In the last two games, Abreu has five home runs, eight RBI, and five runs. He has put up over 20 points in each of his previous five games played. The Chicago White Sox lineup is rolling, and Abreu is the hottest hitter in it.
Brandon Lowe - 2B, TAM vs. TOR ($4,100)
Brandon Lowe starting against a right-handed pitcher? Yes, please. Lowe has 69 plate appearances on the season and produced 20 hits, five home runs, 17 runs, and 19 RBI. It's safe to say that whenever he gets this type of matchup, you need to plug him into your lineups. His opposing pitcher is Trent Thornton, who looked very bad in his one short outing so far this year.
Yandy Diaz - 3B, TAM vs. TOR ($2,700)
Yandy Diaz is seeing the ball well right now. He has reach base safely in seven of his last ten attempts with five hits and two walks. In both of his previous two games played, Yandy has mashed a home run as well. In his 26 games played, he sports a 126 wRC+ and .367 wOBA. If you're looking for reliable production at a limited price, Diaz is a perfect play.
Francisco Lindor - SS, CLE vs. DET ($3,400)
Lindor's season stats don't look up as his usual numbers, but he has been steadily climbing. In his last three games, he has collected six hits and hitting the ball harder. Lindor draws a matchup with the rising prospect, Tarik Skubal, that is trying to figure out how to get MLB-ready talent out. Skubal likely won't go deep in the game and rely on the bullpen to take the majority of the innings pitched. Detroit's bullpen is striking out less than 20% of batters and has already given up ten home runs on the season.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Juan Soto - OF, WAS @ BAL ($4,700)
Soto is still on my must-play list. In 16 games played, he has a .368 batting average with seven home runs, 16 RBI, and 15 runs. He is one of the highest-priced players on the slate, but worth every penny. Soto bats in the heart of the Nationals lineup and faces off against Humberto Mejia. Mejia is serving as an opener to a bullpen game, which is excellent news for Soto. The Marlins have a 6.90 FIP and a 10.7 K-BB%, and both are the worst in the league.
Kyle Lewis - OF, SEA vs. TEX ($3,500)
Kyle Lewis is swinging a hot bat as of late. He has a hit in each of the last seven games played and put up nine or more points in all but one game. Lewis is seeing the ball terrifically with five walks in his previous three affairs. He will look to add to his home run total of six, against southpaw Mike Minor. Minor is struggling a lot this year and has a 6.94 ERA, and 1.52 WHIP in 23 innings pitched.
Alex Verdugo - OF, BOS @ BAL ($2,900)
Verdugo is another player on a hot streak. He boasts a 13-game hitting streak that has bumped his batting average up to .298. He doesn't barrel the ball a ton but sprays the ball all over the yard. Verdugo will be playing in a hitter-friendly park and facing Wade LeBlanc, who sports a 7.89 ERA with only 13 strikeouts in 21.2 innings pitched.
