FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Christian Javier - HOU vs. TEX ($7,600)
Javier has looked impressive in his rookie campaign for Houston, entering tonight's start with a 25.6% K-rate through 31 innings. He should have a strong performance against an awful Rangers lineup that ranks second-worst in wOBA versus righties at .277. This is an offense that has been batting Jose Trevino, a 27-year-old with a .682 OPS through 59 career games, third in their order. It's easy to see the appeal for Javier.
Trison McKenzie - CLE vs. KAN ($8,000)
The top two chalk starters on the slate both come with some risks, as Buehler is making his first start back from the IL, while Scherzer is facing a high-end offense in the Phillies. This may be a night where pivoting to a cheaper, lesser owned starting pitcher could pay off in GPP tournaments. Along with Javier, McKenzie is another rookie worth considering in this role. He has 13 strikeouts through his first 10 innings and faces a Royals lineup with a poor .303 wOBA, which is fourth-lowest in all of baseball.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Freddie Freeman, 1B - ATL at BOS ($3,900)
The Braves lineup is one of the most attractive stack options tonight as they face the disastrous Red Sox pitching staff in a hitter-friendly park in Fenway. Mike Kickham will be making the start for Boston, who is a 31-year-old who has last pitched in the majors in 2014 and had a 4.75 FIP in triple-A last season. Even if you don't go for a full Braves stack, Freeman is an obvious play here batting second.
Michael Chavis - 2B, BOS vs ATL ($2,400)
Chavis has been batting fifth for the Red Sox and is a nice punt-level play at this price. He's facing a weak lefty in Robbie Erlin, owner of a 6.00 ERA, so the Red Sox are a stack option as well. Chavis can be avoided in cash games but has power upside in GPP contests.
Austin Riley, 3B - ATL at BOS ($2,500)
Riley is one of the hottest hitters in the game after a 2-for-5 last night gave him his third straight multi-hit game. Riley is now batting .381 over the last two weeks and yet remains extremely cheap at this price on FanDuel.
Francisco Lindor - SS, CLE at KAN ($3,300)
Lindor homered last night and is still an easy pick at this price. He's put his early season struggles behind him and is batting .328 with two homers and two steals in the last 15 days, showcasing the elite fantasy production that is expected of him.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Trent Grisham, OF - SDP at LAA ($3,200)
Grisham is a nice play in cash games as the Padres leadoff hitter, which will give him run-scoring opportunities and extra plate appearances. Angels starter Julio Teheran has a horrendous 9.17 ERA this year, so Grisham in the Padres should do plenty of damage.
Eddie Rosario, OF - MIN vs CWS ($2,900)
Rosario is in a hitter's park against Reynaldo Lopez, who has a 1.73 HR/9 since the start of last season. Target Rosario in GPPs for his power upside batting cleanup for the Twins.
Kyle Schwarber, OF - CHC at PIT ($3,100)
Schwarber is another bat who is perfect for GPPs thanks to his boom-or-bust profile. He's mostly been booming as of late, with three home runs in his last two games and seven over the last two weeks. Schwarber's hot streak should continue against Joe Musgrove and his 6.75 ERA.
