As is customary on Sundays, we have a very large slate to dissect with lots of batting and pitching options for us to consider. We have some good pitching options on this slate so we will need to figure out which one can get us a few strikeouts and a win while also choosing between some great offenses like New York, Chicago, San Diego, and Houston to choose from.
I'll be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for the FanDuel main slate on 5/30/2021. Be sure to also check out all the MLB player news, including late scratches, and the projected and confirmed daily MLB lineups for each DFS slate.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Cash Game/GPP Anchor Play:
Max Scherzer - WSH vs. MIL ($12,000)
The Brewers continue to struggle against right-handed pitching and they will be facing one of the tougher righties in the entire league on this slate. Scherzer is a top arm and draws a very favorable matchup against a team that is averaging .206 against his handedness and has the second-highest strikeout total against righties on the year (375 K's). he does a great job getting ahead in the count as he sports a 61.2% ahead percentage and has a 15.9% swinging-strike rate. The Brewers as a team are striking out 24.3% of the time to right-handed pitchers and they have six batters in their lineup that carries a 21% strikeout rate or higher against his handedness.
Alternate Play(s)
Lucas Giolito - CWS vs. BAL ($10,000)
Giolito has gotten off to a rocky start this season but has settled down over his last two outings as he has pitched 14 innings, game up two runs, and has accrued 16 strikeouts in those two games. Baltimore has a few hot bats right now but what is really shocking is that they have the fourth-lowest batting average against right-handed pitchers as they're batting .216 against this handedness and have only hit 29 home runs (tied for the third-lowest total in the league). Giolito will face six batters in the Orioles lineup that has a strikeout rate above 21% and as a whole, this Baltimore squad is striking out 24.2% of the time against righties on the season. If you're needing some salary relief and can't afford Scherzer, you could always pivot down to Giolito who still offers some strikeout upside.

FanDuel DFS Infielders
Salvador Perez - C, KCR @ MIN ($2,400)
The price point on Perez is just too good to pass up on. He is one of the better hitting catchers in the entire league and has a .300 batting average against right-handed pitchers this season. He is 3-9 over the weekend with one home run and could be starting to heat up as this was his first home run in over 10 games.
Nick Madrigal - 2B CHW vs. BAL ($2,700)
Madrigal has carved out a nice spot in this White Sox offense as he has been someone that has been placed at the top of the lineup to get on base regularly. He has had three multi-hit games in his last five games played and is slashing .383 against left-handed pitching this season.
Gio Urshela – OF, NYY @ DET ($2,300)
The pricing on Urshela is just too soft to not ignore so he makes for a value candidate on this slate today. He has recorded a hit in five out of the last seven games played and while he doesn't have quite the ceiling like other players do, he can certainly hit value which is what we are looking for. Skubal throws his fastball over 50% of the time to right-handed batters and this is a pitch that Urshela does well against as he has a .333 ISO and a .504 XwOBA against that pitch.
Javier Baez, SS, CHC vs. CIN ($3,900)
Baez looks to be one of the better spend-up options on this slate and he looks to be in good form as he has recorded a hit in seven out of his last eight games played. Baez is hitting .280 against right-handed pitchers and leads the Cubs with seven home runs against this handedness. He profiles well against Mahle as he has an ISO of .200+ against the three main pitch types that Mahle throws and has one home run and two doubles against Mahle in his career.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Aaron Judge - OF, NYY @ DET ($3,600)
Judge has been a lefty-killer this season as he is hitting .400 against lefty pitchers and leads the Yankees with five home runs against this handedness. He has a very good ISO of .328 against lefties and profiles well against Skubal, especially against his fastball which he has an ISO of .250 and an XwOBA of .565 against that pitch type.
Bryan Reynolds - OF, COL @ PIT ($2,900)
Reynolds is priced in a very favorable pricing range as he is sub 3k but hits lefties well as he has a batting average of .365 this season and is second on the Pirates with two home runs against that handedness. Kyle Freeland has been getting hit by both sides of the plate and righties have a .225 ISO against him so Reynolds looks to match up well just based on the splits alone.
Andrew Vaughn – OF, CHW vs. BAL ($2,500 FD)
Andrew Vaughn has been a good value hitter to use if looking to get cheap exposure to Chicago. He is slashing .306 against left-handed pitching this season and has the second-most home runs on the White Sox against this handedness. Vaughn is sporting a .417 ISO and a XwOBA of .650 against lefties and profiles well as he has an ISO of .250+ on both pitches that Akin throws.
