Thankfully, we have a solid NBA schedule on Sunday that will help divert our attention away from the horrendous NFL Pro Bowl. FanDuel is breaking down the day into two categories, an early and a main slate. Though both have some solid options, the early slate features a lot of favorable picks that will be featured in this article.
Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/28/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.
Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @Den_Clausen to let me know how I did. Let's get started.
FanDuel DFS Guards
Lou Williams - SG, @ NOP ($8,600)
The fact that this guy isn't an All-Star is absolutely ridiculous and further validates why nobody really gives a crap about the All-Star game anyways. Now that I got that out of the way, Williams has been a monster all season and despite coming off the bench, which is the norm for him, he still plays more than most starters throughout the league. He will have a favorable matchup against a wounded Pelicans team that will be a lot different without DeMarcus Cousins and is fresh off a 40-point performance against Memphis, too. He needs to be in your lineup on Sunday.
Eric Gordon - SG, vs. PHO ($5,100)
Though the spread favors Houston to win by a large margin over Phoenix, which could lead to decreased minutes for some of the Rockets' elite players due to a potential blowout, I have a hard time not suggesting Eric Gordon, especially at such a low-price. Gordon struggled for a bit upon the return of James Harden after he missed a few weeks, but Gordon has bounced back and has found his range once again from behind the arc. He dropped 27 points on New Orleans a few nights ago and the same thing can happen again against a defensively inefficient Suns team.
Milos Teodosic - PG, @ NOP ($4,500)
Teodosic is one of those frustrating guys, meaning that when you don't have him in your lineup, he's great, and when you have him in your lineup, he stinks; you really just can't win this this guy. However, with Danilo Gallinari and Austin Rivers both out along with DeAndre Jordan just not giving an crap anymore, Teodosic is the number three option behind Lou Williams and Blake Griffin. The Pelicans are allowing 31.3 points per game to opposing playmakers over the last 10 games and could easily hit five times value, especially with such a generous asking price.
Other FanDuel DFS Guards to Consider: Russell Westbrook ($12,000), Jrue Holiday ($7,700), Timothe Luwawu ($4,200)
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Giannis Antetokounmpo - SF, @ CHI ($11,600)
Listed as a small forward on FanDuel, Antetokounmpo will likely start at the four against the Bulls. After concerns over his "lingering knee soreness," Antetokounmpo put them to rest by dropping 41 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. He has another nice matchup against the Bulls and is a guy everyone should consider building their lineup around. He will cost you a pretty penny, but with guys Like Teodosic, Gordon and even Darius Miller all available at a discount price, you should be able to make it work.
Darius Miller - SF, vs. LAC ($3,900)
Speaking of Darius Miller, with the injury to Boogie, he will now be thrust into the starting rotation, at least for now. He played well against the Rockets, playing 28 healthy minutes where he scored 20 points. He's very limited outside of scoring, but if he can get them to drop, he will easily exceed his value. If you need a value play in DraftKings as well, he is your guy, especially since DK rewards bonus points for shots from downtown.
Other FanDuel DFS Forwards to Consider: Anthony Davis ($11,700), Blake Griffin ($8,700), Lauri Markkanen ($6,400), E'Twaun Moore ($4,800)
FanDuel DFS Centers
DeAndre Jordan - C, @ NOP ($8,000)
Ok, I didn't really mean it when I said Jordan didn't care but it has to be frustrating for a guy who has watched Chris Paul get dealt, Blake Griffin get hurt every other game, Gallinari not play and Austin Rivers make about $20 million more than he's worth in addition to constant trade rumors surrounding him. Got all that? Despite the chance that he may not have seen the court again as a Clipper after his ankle injury, he came back and came back strong, averaging a double-double since his return. The Pelicans are giving up 19 points and 12 boards to big men over the last 10 contests, and with Boogie out of the equation, Jordan could have a strong outing against them on Sunday.
Other FanDuel DFS Centers to Consider: Robin Lopez ($4,300)
