FanDuel DFS Tennis Picks - Studs to Pay For
NOVAK DJOKOVIC ($25) vs DANIEL ELAHI GALAN
The world number one is coming off of a pair of convincing victories in which he has dropped just 10 games through his first two matches. Djokovic is the highest-priced option at $25, but the former French Open champion has posted a dominant record of 33-1 in 2020, including a title in Rome last week. Galan has posted a career-best result by reaching the third round, but Djokovic is strongly recommended in tomorrow's contest against the 24-year-old Colombian qualifier.
JELENA OSTAPENKO ($20) vs PAULA BADOSA
Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open singles champion, defeated N0. 2 seed Karolina Pliskova in their second round match and will have a chance to build on her success at the tournament against an opponent who has never advanced past the third round at any major in her young career. Ostapenko is one of the higher-priced players in the women's singles field at $20, serving as a quality pick as the more experienced player of the two despite the slight age difference.
PETRA MARTIC ($20) vs LAURA SIEGEMUND
The 29-year-old Croatian has enjoyed previous success at the French Open, highlighted by a run to the quarterfinals at last year's tournament, and serves as the favorite in her third round matchup after overcoming a difficult second round match that went to three sets. Laura Siegemund, the 32-year-old German, is making her first third round appearance at the French Open after defeating Kristina Mladenovic and Julia Goerges in the opening two rounds.
FIONA FERRO ($19) vs PATRICIA MARIA TIG
Ferro is one of three French women remaining in the draw, while having arguably the best chance at going the deepest at the tournament after defeating No. 14 seed Elena Rybakina in the second round. Ferro has played very well since the season restart in August, with a perfect record of 7-0 on the clay to go along with a title in Palermo. Ferro's success on the clay and playing in front of the home supporters gives her the edge in tomorrow's third round match.
FanDuel DFS Tennis Picks - Values
CRISTIAN GARIN ($15) vs KAREN KHACHANOV
The two top-20 players are both priced at $15 for their third round match, but the difference in their 2020 clay court success could dictate the outcome of the match. Garin has won a pair of titles on the clay in Corboda and Rio de Janeiro this year, while Khachanov has suffered a first round exit in Rome and second round loss in Hamburg leading into the French Open. The 24-year-old from Chile gets the edge in this well balanced matchup as he looks to advance to the fourth round at the tournament for the first time in his career.
THIAGO MONTEIRO ($12) vs MARTON FUCSOVICS
Monteiro serves as one of the cheaper options in tomorrow's slate, but the Brazilian qualifier picked up an impressive straight sets victory against No. 31 Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round and overcame American Marcus Giron in his following match. Fucsovics recorded an upset of his own in his opening round, defeating No. 4 seed Daniil Medvedev. Both players will be looking to reach the fourth round of the French Open for the first time in their career, but Monteiro gets the slight edge based on his superior track record and previous success on the clay.
