FanDuel DFS Tennis Picks - Studs to Pay For
RAFAEL NADAL ($25) vs SEBASTIAN KORDA
Nadal headlines the slate of Sunday's matches as he looks to build on the momentum from his previous two rounds, in which the 12-time French Open champion dropped just nine games en route to the fourth round. Nadal owns an incredible record of 96-2 for his career at the tournament, suggesting that his dominance should be taken advantage of against his 20-year-old opponent, who is competing in the French Open men's singles draw for the first time in his professional career.
SIMONA HALEP ($21) vs IGA SWIATEK
Halep, a former French Open champion and three-time finalist, is in terrific form heading into her fourth round match on Sunday, having compiled an unbeaten record of 13-0 on the clay to go along with a pair of titles in Prague and Rome since the season resumed in August. The two players met at the French Open in 2019, with Halep picking up a commanding victory in their only previous meeting. Halep's current form and level of play through the first week of the tournament gives her the edge in tomorrow's round of 16 match.
DOMINIC THIEM ($24) vs HUGO GASTON
Thiem will have to overcome a hometown favorite in his fourth round clash against 20-year-old left-hander Hugo Gaston, who managed to outlast former French Open champion Stan Wawrinka in their third round five-setter that went the distance. Thiem has been a finalist at the French Open in back-to-back years (2018 and 2019), as the 27-year-old Austrian will look to book his spot in the quarterfinals for the fifth consecutive year after winning his first Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open prior to the clay court season.
DIEGO SCHWARTZMAN ($23) vs LORENZO SONEGO
Schwartzman has yet to drop a set through his first three matches at the 2020 French Open, and the 28-year-old from Argentina will have a chance to continue his high level of play in Sunday's fourth round encounter against Lorenzo Sonego.
Schwartzman had a strong week leading into the French Open as he defeated Rafael Nadal on his way to a runner-up finish in Rome, eventually falling short to Djokovic in the finals. Schwartzman receives some well deserved recognition for his recent stretch of performances by serving as the third-highest option at $23 in Sunday's slate of matches.
FanDuel DFS Tennis Picks - Values
JANNIK SINNER ($13) vs ALEXANDER ZVEREV
Sinner comes in as the underdog against No. 6 seed Alexander Zverev, who had to battle through his second round match against Pierre-Hugues Herbert in order to avoid an early round exit from the 2020 French Open. Sinner managed to defeat No. 11 seed David Goffin in straight sets in the opening round of the tournament, with the young Italian expected to present Zverev with challenges in Sunday's fourth round match.
Zverev finished as the runner-up at the 2020 US Open in September, but his lack of time to prepare for the French Open without a tournament on clay leading into the final grand slam of the season could give Sinner an advantage as one of the cheaper options on Sunday's slate.
MARTINA TREVISAN ($11) vs KIKI BERTENS
Trevisan, another Italian player having a strong week at the French Open after coming through the qualifying draw, has defeated Camila Giorgi, Coco Gauff and Maria Sakkari through her opening three matches in the main draw. Trevisan has compiled a record of 12-4 on the clay this season and could come out on top against No. 5 seed Kiki Bertens, who came very close to elimination in her second round match and has only played five matches on the clay in contrast to Trevisan.
