BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 4% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels pitcher Felix Pena has made his mark on baseball in a short time period. Pena’s last month has seen him strike out a batter per inning (31 in 30 ⅔ IP) with a 3.23 ERA and 1.04 WHIP for the Halos. He sports dual-eligibility on the bump and has worked hard to change his arsenal since moving to the big leagues.
He has transitioned to a sinker from his old four-seamer to strong results, giving him a nice pitch to pair with his slider -- a pitch that batters are hitting just .163 off of in ‘18. He gets a plus matchup against the White Sox in Chicago next on Sept. 7. Given his strong matchup and his solid run of play, Pena is highly recommended in deeper leagues and is even a decent play in more shallow leagues as well, especially if you are looking for strikeouts.
