Today's MLB Betting Picks - Tampa Bay Rays @ Miami Marlins
O/U: 6.5 | Moneyline: TBR -225
TBR: Shane McClanahan| MIA: Jesus Luzardo
This should be a fun match-up of two talented young left-handers, but even with Luzardo's return to form this year he's still not all that close to McClanahan in terms of being a complete pitcher. After a few iffy games, Mac has looked dominant again and has one of the best match-ups in baseball today against the Marlins, who have struggled to a massive 29% strikeout to rate against lefties and some very poor overall offensive statistics. You should hit Shane's K prop at over 6.5 strikeouts while you can, it could easily rise to 7.5 by later in the day.
The offenses are the biggest difference actually. The Rays are averaging 4.6 runs per game over the last month - twice as many as the lowly Marlins who have mustered only 2.3 runs per contest. The run line makes the most sense here to get some good odds and I am counting on Shane Mac to be lights out and his offense to give him the cushion that we need to cash this bet.
Pick: TBR -1.5 (-120), DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Kansas City Royals @ Chicago White Sox
O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: CHW -140
KCR: Brady Singer| CHW: Lucas Giolito
The Royals are a team on the rise. They've gone with a full youth movement and while there have been plenty of growing pains, this team has been much more competitive lately. The biggest improvement has been with their offense, where we are seeing some of these young hitters finally break out. 15 runs against the Padres on Sunday certainly caught my eye, and they finished that series against San Diego with a total of 23 runs.
The White Sox are a different story, they continue to be one of the biggest disappointments in baseball as far as failing to live up to their preseason expectations. They are in third place in the AL Central and dropping like a stone as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. Kansas City has won four of the last five match-ups with Chicago, including the last time that Brady Singer took the hill. Singer has been the best pitcher on this young KC pitching staff and frankly, he's been a better pitcher than Lucas Giolito who has not looked anywhere close to the version of himself that was dominant for a several-year stretch.
Give me the underdogs here and the team with the most momentum. Singer is going to pitch well against this struggling Chicago offense and keep his team in the game, we just need the KC hitters to come through get us enough runs to pull this one out.
Pick: KCR ML (+120), DraftKings Sportsbook
Today's MLB Betting Picks - Team Totals
Atlanta Braves over 5.5 runs (+105) Draftkings Sportsbook
The Braves should tee off on Jose Urena and a subpar Colorado bullpen tonight. They've been one of the best offenses in baseball this season and I currently have them projected over seven runs in this game!
St. Louis Cardinals over 5.5 runs (-135) DraftKings Sportsbook
The Cardinals announced their arrival in Cincy rather dramatically last night with 13 runs in a drubbing of the Reds. Tonight they face another retread pitcher, Justin Dunn, who has struggled this year to a 5+ SIERA. The hitting conditions in Cincinnati should be favorable again and we know this park is great for offense. The Cards are rolling right now, averaging over six runs per game over the last month. This is one of the highest run projections I have seen this year, I have them over 8 runs tonight!
Good luck, RotoBallers! Stay tuned for more great DFS and betting content throughout the week!
