BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 26% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Colorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez has a start today (Wednesday), but there are a lot of reasons to not pick him up until tomorrow. Why? It is at Coors, where he has posted a 6.63 ERA versus a beautiful 3.09 ERA on the road. However, do consider that Pittsburgh is one of eight teams with a collective wOBA under .300 in the last two weeks. Also, Marquez has won his last two home starts with QS’s against Arizona and Oakland.
His last six outings have yielded four wins, five QS, a 2.45 xFIP and a 2.73 SIERA with a 57.1% groundball rate and 29.6% strikeout clip. Coors can counter even the greatest of numbers, but do consider breaking the mold for Marquez. Those in deeper leagues should already have Marquez on their radar and he is quickly garnering interest in more shallow leagues as well. If he can keep up his ground ball rate, he might even be worth starting at home as well.
